(she has no intentions of making a commitment, but still continues studying with old pioneer 'friends' of mine.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe they got caught doing that in front of a bible student! They try to keep that stuff covered up until you are trapped/baptized.
Good for you for standing up to them, Strawberry Cake! I'm so sorry you are experiencing this heartbreaking treatment, but you should be so proud of yourself for showing your former student what a true Christian attitude is!
I hope your sons see it for what it is and never treat you this way. My parents shun me and it hurts so badly.

Awake quotes Forrest Gump!!
by dinah injust got a september '08 awake in my paws.. the cover asks "is there life beyond the grave".
they have a quote from forrest gump (of course he wasn't mentioned by name but i've seen the movie a million times).
it says roughly: in a movie a young man is shown standing by his mother's grave.

It was an article on tobacco and/or smoking, maybe quiting smoking and it quoted the line from the Lennon song, "I'm So Tired" where he sings about getting another cigarette and "curse Sir Walter Raleigh..."
But they left out the rest of the line, "...he was such a stupid git"

I'm sorry, Amanda, but I agree with what Lola says. We are not attacking JG. We are responding to very disrespectful comments he is making on a public board. If you feel this is hazing Dave then I feel a little sorry for you. If you run around calling people names how can you be offended when they respond in kind? I hope you both find your own peace; it doesn't seem like you have enough.
