I do believe there has been a few instances where blacks do get treated differently, but it is completely blown out of proportion. It seems to me anymore that everytime a black athlete or person gets in trouble the race card gets brought up over and over. Everytime I see a black athlete get in a brawl or get in trouble I always say to myself I wonder how long for the race card gets brought out.

I dont like it when people are using the wife abusers and other stuff and the time they serve and compare it to this situation. Yes they should serve longer terms, but when people use this comparison it is like there trying to cut down his jail time. I agree competely, but it shouldnt be used for this reason.

Black people have tons of black athletes that are role models that stay out of trouble, so why stick up for every single one that gets in trouble?

Another question is do black people hate animals? I watched cnn and seen the protestors against vick holding up signs, and I dont believe I seen one black person with a sign. WHYYY? Is it because of color of skin?

IN the nfl offseason if a black athlete gets caught with a pound of weed, he is not in trouble because of being black, he is in trouble because of the weed.

Bottom line you dont want to get in trouble dont commit the crime.

Look at the infamous oj simpson trial. Blacks were jumping up and down in the streets when they read the verdict, and till this day many blacks say they he was guilty, so why the celebration? I kinda of glad of the verdict though, I couldnt imagine the riots if otherwise.

Sorry for the sarcasm just get tired of hearing it. It is just a skin color it dont commit the crime for you

ok i started thinking tonight which is always a bad idea after i've had a long, really pressuring, day at work.

but i've been in this sort of confused uncomfortable state lately about whether i believe in god or not.

i finally got past the actual guilt of having these questions because i knew that was just what was drilled into my skull in my past.

I believe in god, but it is hard to answer your question. I believe with anything you experience in life you have to believe in it for it to happen. Good or bad. I think alot of things are more mental like superstition and so forth. I know witchcraft works for some people, but it would never work for me because I dont believe deeply in it. So with demons it could be something just affecting the mind or it could be that they are real and so is god.

One way to answer your question is how did your sister overcome her demons and if she did how did she overcome it? Who did she turn to? how long did it take? These questions might answer your own questions.

i just want to say that i used to be judgemental of athiests, but as a jw backer everyone on here finds nothing but wrong doing with the orginizations.

well i am sure i can find wrong doing with other churches and their teachings as well.

Now the whole reason why I brought up this topic is because if all these topics about witnesses have truth behind them I guess Athiesm would be the way to go. I am not necessarily saying that is the way I would go , I was trying to come up with a logical conclusion.

I have had conversations with people of other christian faiths, and I dont agree with all their teachings either. In all honestly there are many gray areas. Even though many people who have been jws on here disown the jw faith now, it still gives some helpful insight about other religions and why there are false. Even if I would prove myself to be wrong on what I believe I would not believe in any other faith either. NOTE: this is not because I am blindsided by my faith either, because I have been away from the JW faith for some time. I have no problem making up my own mind. I was never babtized so I have little pressure on me at all.

I believe many christian people of different faiths meen well, but I believe they are no more important to me than the jw faith is to people on here. This is not because of how I was raised either, but because of what I know, read and conversated with people of other christian faith. This is why I came up with the whole athiest topic.

Hey I understand. Alot of the topics you brought up of course you cant find them in the bible, but you can find bible reasoning on subjects, such as playing the lottery. LIke when the bible warns of riches, materialism. Also, points like when jesus turned downed the riches of the world.

Another example I can relate to. Playing sports I dont find to much wrong with it so I will agree with you on that, but when I played sports in high school I didnt have time for the meetings anymore, and other teammates who attended regular church activities didnt have no more time for that either, so it seems to me that I was putting fun in front of beneficial, or more time devoted to sports instead of god.

Vinny, sorry if my comments back are not the greatest, I am quite rusty on bible talks and so forth, so I have a hard time explaining subjects the way I want too.

A few of you asked what exactly I meant by athiests are the smartest ones on here. I was speaking of their beliefs and their comments on here. Like I said in my original post Im a jw backer, but I find fault with so many other religions as well, so beyond the viewpoint of what I think , if I had to back any other group besides the one I back up now, athiesm seems to be the most intelligent way to go.

It was nice to get support on here for once. I about fell over. Maybe I should have complimented the athiests before. Wow maybe you guys are more humble than the other people associated with other christian groups on here.

churches or spas

i know some of you might go to smaller churches so this may not apply to you, but talking to some of my buddies and from people at work sometimes i think they just go to church fo the girls and for all the recreation.

I know some of you might go to smaller churches so this may not apply to you, but talking to some of my buddies and from people at work sometimes I think they just go to church fo the girls and for all the recreation. I have actually been to some of their churches and it seems like they are set up more like a fitness center/ spa than a place of worship. My buddies are always talking about their softball and basketball leagues and they hardly ever say anything about the church itself.

Im not saying there is anything wrong with this, but I was just wondering if you didnt have these things in some churches do you think as many people would go? (especially younger ones). I love all sports and would enjoy playing in a league, but the guys I talk to at work say you have to go to the church to participate, and they make it sound all great, but the conversation is never centered around the church, so should I consider this bribary?

IF YOU WOULD PLEASE JUST ANSWER THE QUESTIONS. I DIDNT ASK FOR SARCASTIC COMEBACKS OR COMPARISONS OF THE JW FAITH VS. CHURCHES.

So if there is nothing great about the jw faith and other religions teachings are false as well I guess I would have to conclude that the athiests are the smartest ones on here.
