That comment seems sexist to me. I just hate the word "hysteric" used to describe opinionated and/or passionate women. grr... I disagree with the 1-square rule though. If someone tried to make me use just one square, you bet your ass I would sit on their face after pooping. Also...if sisters guarded the paper towels in the wash room...watch out!!!! ninja moves.

now, i dont want to rob any law-abiding american of his or her god-given rights, but i think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.".
not being a woman i don't know about that -- i have my doubts.

Will the pro-JW "Knocking" movie backfire on the WT Society?
by moshe inrather than being lots of great pr for the kh, it will bring former jw's who have remained silent out into the open.
they will write and call pbs and their newspapers, too.
they will get an earful and perhaps do the story that should have been done in the first place.

Yeah I had supported my sister. She wants to get reinstated too...but her and I get along well, she is just depressed and lost :(
My other sister...She got DF'd even though she did not want to be. But she is happier now, and she wants nothing to do with the JW's.
It is still quite a mess though. -

Leolaia: I never did get married. We had so many problems. I left him 10 days before the wedding. That is about the time I stopped posting here. I had gone through a lot. I just focused my frustrations on art and my dog (won her in the custody battle...well he just got a new girlfriend so he did not need the dog anymore!). It had been almost two years and I have been able to move on. He had problems with me working and not being at home. He had issues with me going to my college classes! He was an ass. I have done so much better than him and better than what he wanted for me.
FlyingHighNow: It will be quite interesting to go to a district assembly. I am going to have fun with it I think, maybe think up a few games. No doubt I will be text messaging the whole time. haha.
Anyway I went to college for New Media design and got a bachelor of arts. I started out doing web design but got sick of it. Paper is static, I like that. And I have always held some what of a romantisized view of the magazine industry. So when I had a chance, I jumped at it and it turned out to be something I loved, was good at, and could do the rest of my life. :) -

the manager went over to the ladies and told them they were not welcomed there and therefore had to leave.
the women described the kiss on the cheek as a similar type of kiss to an "uncle".

Minimus, she does not date nor does she have sex with women. So yeah, I would say that she is not bi or lesbian. I know plenty of people that would kiss people who they would never consider having sex with or a relationship with...

I never got DF'd because luckily I escaped getting baptised...I just kept "putting it off" until I went "poof! gone!". :)
That did not stop my family for treating me like I was DF'd because I "would have been anyway". So silly! But my family eventually got over it and are somewhat accepting that I have different plans in life but I know that my mom especially truly believes I am going to die at armageddon. That upsets me. They still try to convert me back. I try to be open minded and not just cut them off because I value their relationship and I am sure that I am being a bit too sensitive and more giving than I should be. Who knows. -

Why do people choose to d'assoc by letter instead of just fading?
by journey-on ini simply gradually quit going.
of course, this was many years ago and maybe the "rules" have changed, but rather than create drama among my family, i just let them think i was becoming materialistic and spiritually weak.
at least it kept them talking and associating with me rather than cutting me off.

I "faded" but that did not stop the questions and visits and crying and drama... I still never sent a letter, I was never baptized. I was still cut off (by my parents and family) for several years. I hate to think what would have happened if I was DF'd!!! My sister wanted to fade...she was DF'd by the elders in her absence anyway! She never went to a JC meeting. They just DF'd her.
