  you know....i realize that my father isn't the most personable person, but good god we dont talk that often, and i just called to ask him a couple questions about my grandmother because i've started to do my family tree...he was just really cold.

  and when he didn't ask why i was wanting this info i said, "the reason i'm asking is because i've started my family tree.

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  Another beautiful day, high is suppose to be 71. I am finally starting to get some color on my face. My youngest daughter flew down the other day for a visit, my oldest daughter came a week before to help out. So we are here together for a bit. My daughters and I. One of them I want to sit on my lap, hug her till it hurts, kiss and tickle. The other I want to throw over my knee and wack her butt. Both are grown up and beautiful, I love them dearly.

  We will rent new movies I haven't seen, cook comfort food, enjoy the grandkids, clean the house (it needs it something terrible), fuss, fight, and laugh. Today I won't worry about tomorrow. I will just enjoy the day. Enjoy the day.

  Thank you all for your positive vibes....I'm feeling them.

  My youngest daughter flew in last night, she will be here until Monday.

  We have a 3 year old birthday to celebrate.

  The weather is beautiful, so I'll take my Mom for a walk everyday.

  Keep working on my road trip plans.

  So it looks like I am going to have about a month to plan my road trip. Today I need to revive my excitement. I have so much to accomplish before I can leave. Since my Dad passed I have inherited a big fancy ipod. I understand I can download audio books, and pod casts, etc... Historically I love listening to talk radio when I am on the road, but you loose stations, and it gets frustrating.

  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  Mr. Flipper, I am 9 months out of a five year fade. Since I have been here on JWD I have been working on being real, being me. A five year fade can really mess you up, I'm sure you know what I mean. I have always thought of myself as a nice person, don't get me wrong, nice seems kind of benign to me. However, I seem to be doing a flip of sorts. I am snort laughing at crude humor, learning how to cuss on a site that doesn't allow it, and I seem to have a smart ass edge to my posts. I'm so confussed!!!

  Please help.
