mouthy, me too. I was just having a hard week.
BTW I do this because I love her, not because I owe her. She was mentally ill when I was growing up, my antics were nothing compared to hers. Also I paid for my antics by surviving six teenagers.
I am also doing this for my dad who always took care of me and of my mom, and who put me in charge when he died.

i didn't know how to interact with life.

OK you have hours to watch TV but no time to read.
To clarify further. At the time I was watching these movies....I was caring for a 2 yr old, and a 3 yr old. A 82 yr old and a 84 yr old. I had no help except on weekends. I did not have a TV, and I did not have time for JWD.
Sometimes when you are down, it is hard to be proactive in your life. The movies helped me to put my life in a different perspective.
on friday , i had finished working where i used to live about 60 miles south .
a witness lady who used to be in one of my old congregations was working the check out line at the grocery store.
naturally she recognized me , and she saw i was buying a anniversary card for my daughter and her husband.
.....don't take it out on Jehovah.
....but he didn't leave Jehovah.
Seems like a good come back might be, I think Jehovah left first.
Or, maybe it's time for Jehovah to take over because it's not looking like he is anywhere to be found.
I loved your response to her. I haven't been around witnesses (that I know) in almost a year. I think I would love the chance to do an impromtu anti witness.

I hope you are getting family help,
I am, thanks. I moved here to be closer to my sister. She works full time, but helps when she can. I should ask for more help (my therapist is working on this with me), but she can be such a martyr, it is hard for me to want to go through that. My daughter also helps. I couldn't do it alone.
My mother has a life long history of mental illness. I think I am just in one of her manic swings. Hopefully it won't last forever. It has just been a hard week.

Does your mom like game shows? My hubby's grandma sits all day and watches the game show network-heaven for her!
The only thing on TV that I can have on is FOX News. She was addicted to that before her stroke, so now it seems to calm her down. If I have to sit in here with her, like every miniute lately, I try Food TV , travel channel, anything.....but after a bit, then she starts squirming. I'm getting use to it now, but at first I didn't think I was going to make it. Old movies are the only other thing that works. JWD is my distraction.
