i am losing faith that it is accurate at all.. according to an article i read in our paper today they are now saying in translation there are no english words to match every word...so the scripture that say "peace on earth and goodwill towards all men " should really be " peace on earth to all men of goodwill ".. now if they can screw something that simple up..what else in the bible have they screwed up?.

Thanks for the comments. The imformation about Christ birth can be explained but it won't give a person faith or trust in God or His word. Trust does require evidence, evidence for a Christian is God's Holy Spirit which is not visible to the human eye so the evidence you require can't be had by demand.

God Holy Spirit is a gift that cannot be demand or received from intellect it is a gift given when a person humbles their self and ask God for forgiveness and is willing to submit to God's direction. God cannot be seen by mans physical eye and nowhere in the new testment can a person have a relationship with God and Christ without walking by faith. Morevover, faith is another gift of God and He gives it in the measure He chooses to give it it also cannot be demanded through intellectual knowledge.

A billion testimonies would not convince a person that has no eyes to see and a billion deaths of Christain will not change a person that does not want to see. Blessed are those that know they are created and experience God's unending love.

What is considered a good relationship with someone you love? Trust, sadly few people have had a relationship with anyone they could trust let alone JW's.

When a person puts trust into anything it is an act of faith. People risk there lives constantly because they trust something or someone. There is a pay off for doing so. That pay off rather it friendship or love or the experience of climbing a mountain or going to the moon requires putting trust in something.

If people weren't willing to take risks and they relied only on fact before doing something most people who never have a child. If you run the numbers the risk, the cost, pain, possible health issues, and problems of having a child is not worth it logically and factually. However, most people do take that risk and enjoy a life of love frienship and experiences that no logically price can be place on. In fact, a good parent will give up their life for their children. Simply not logical!

That is why a person cannot understand God without His Spirit it is not possible accept on a logical factual bases and that make no sence. It does not add up there are too many contradiction for a factual physical human mine to accept.

That is why God is Love that is "spiritual" and not understood no more then a parent loving their child can logical be explaned without it become dry fact and make a person look foolish for do so. And that is why history has shown amazing examples of courage and sacrifice by people loving God. It make no sence to the physical person that counts cost of love.

Furthermore, that is why people that have a personal relationship with God and His Son cannot be understood by people that don't. Knowledge is not enough nor is knowledge a personal relationship. And that is why Christ stated that he would send his followers a comforter in the Holy Spirit that would teach them all things. And that is why people that have the Holy Spirt can see God and feel His love for them and it is as real as a Fathers love for His children. That is, the Holy Spirit can't be seen but felt and it comforts doubts and fears.

With a Christain that has Gods Spirit there is a peace that surpass all knowledge. But to a physical person wanting an iron clad contract with God, that is, finding fault toget out of the contract. The child of God understand that words can get in the way of a relationship, but love is trust and love never fails. Love does not require a contract because it is base on love not on performace.

And that is why Christain will always look foolish they not only have faith but they give God trust and He reveals Himself too them and walks with the daily. Trust activates God's love as it does in any relationship.

And that is why there is no evidence, fact or argument that can distroy a child of God's faith. The real problem is people on this site put their faith into the Watchtower Society. That faith was destroyed by logic and facts so they must assumes that there is no faith and they assume again that has something to do with God and Christ.

I agree with your assement. They blindly hanging onto the teachings is not suprizing if you are a physical person. People do the same in all walks of life from law to history. Teachings and rules to a physical person is the anchor of security and when it is question the person will do everything to defend it up to killing someone physcially or spiritually.

The spiritual person understand and trust in the invisible they understand the key to the real life is faith and trust in God and that letting go of the physical life of control and letting God take control of their spiritual life is true security and happiness They understand that a God of love cannot do injustice and that He cannot forget one hair of a child of God head.

Most of Jehovah's Witnesses have only the physical part of Christ teaching that is why when they get it or find out the truth of the orgainzation is false it completely devastate them. All there security is removed and they cannot find another organzation with black and white rules and thus, they feel their is no other place to go. Truth to them is physical not spiritual they believe because of doctrine they are spiritual people.

Most if not all have never had God spirit or do they know it exist accept in theroy of doctrinal teachings. Without the spirit of God there is no understanding of God. There is no understanding freedom, freedom is a word in doctrine not a reality to them. So they are most of all put in a position to be enslaved to an the org. Why? Because God spirit is a comforter it acts as a teacher and a leader and resure what we have is real. It makes the invisible life as real as the physical that is why the apostle could give up this life and not fear death. The spirit filled life they lead was given to them at pentcost and it exist in them until their death.

No one could taste and see the heavenly life and walk away from it, that life is far more compelling then physical life. Can you imagine millions of people talking and arguing over something they cannot understand or have never experience. And then labeling other that have apostates. Christ warned us their was only one sin that could not be forgiven and that was working against the Holy Spirit that Holy Spirit dwells in one place today on earth and that is in his God's children. And that is why a person could be judge unworthy of life for treating one of the least of these my brother as mundane. To trample on the physical temple of the Jews was consider an offence worthy of death. To trample on God spiritual temple is unforgivable offence.

Perhaps that is why Christ could say Father forgive them they know not what they do. Witnesses have no idea what being born again is or where the spirit goes and where it comes from only in doctrine. All the actions of the org proves it is a physical nation of people nothing more that is why forgivness is a weakness to them and laws and rules are superior and why they fear being wrong.

When a person becomes a JW's the first steps they go through is training for doctrinal rebuttals which is impressive for most. Next at some point the person is educated to take on a superior air over other people of other faiths. That is, to believe they have and hold a superior knowledge and because of that knowledge they are more special and favored of God Jehovah and His Son.

With that instilled into them and proven through door to door rebuttal practice the superior air is reinforced to the point they believe no one can read the bible without the help of the organzaition and truely understand it. Through this method a person cannot listen to anyone else point of view because as the person is speaking the witnesses is countering the information with a rebuttal to make the sale that is their point. When this is meant with resistance the witness then is proven right, that is, they have superior knowlege and the objection to their information proves it.

Of course what the truth is is not important. It is the proving of one self right and holding on to the agrument this is a protection against the insecuity of be found to be wrong on doctrinal points. Rather then addressing the real issue of inferiorty of having to right in all matters of faith the witness is reinforced by the need to be right by being black and white. This stems not from love and trust but an insecurity of life in general.

When a person is disfellowship it is the nature of the beast for a witness to assume a superior air over the person that is disfellowship and for the disfellowship person to assume the position of guilt. This is the base of an abusive relationship.

The truth is something like this. Imagine if you will that you have a large family of children and you loved them all the same. One day the local school calls you up and states that one of your children has been disfellowship from school and they are ordering you to stop treating your child as your child. In fact, if your a good citzen you will stop talking to your child and kick them out of your house.

Imagine once again someone telling the president of the United States that's how he must treat one of his children. Would there be a public outcry? Would that be disrespecting the position of the president of the United States?

Imagine again that a person of the United State an average citzen taking on a superior position and thinking I am doing the president a big favor by lowering myself to talk to the disfellowship president child!

That is the point of discord witnesses have come into through indoctrination. God said of Christ that he is not ashamed to call them brothers. Many were cut to the heart for their superior attitude they held over Christ because of their organzation teachings. They found out God was not ashamed to call Christ His Son despite the fact their faith disfellowship the Son of God.

It strange that a person would know the truth and not feel ashamed that the group they associate with has ruin the lives of thousands perhaps millions and yet they uphold it as a place to come back too. Moreover, to assume that they are in a superior position over a person that is disfellowship when in fact the disfellowship person is following in the foot steps of the Master himself. That the master was treated the same and stated that all of his brother were to receive the same treatment or they were not his brothers.

Strange that the lesser feels superior over the greater Paul was truely humble when he found out that he was wrong and he never stop preaching the Christ and about his underserved kindness.

People do not like being shunned by any group doing so puts the person in a defensive mode that creats in them a need to get back into the group for approval. This can be an abusive relationship or a good relationship the brain does not always correlate the information correctly. In other words, our need for the approval does not make the group correct or even right.

Christ stated that there would be dragnets let down in the last days to gather good fish and bad fish. At the end of the ages God would send forth his angles to collect the good from the bad. Dragnets are not loving and kind they serve a purpose of gather fish harshly into a place they can be processed. Organized religion today are those dragnets people within those dragnets can be loving and helpful but it does not make the dragnet anything more then a tool. Witnesses and not only witnesses worship the dragnet rather than God.

There as many reasons for this as there are people in those dragnets. Mostly people believe something greater is needed than Christ. The need for a group, they need for support, the need for a fleshly places of worship and so on.

However, because the nature of dragnets are cruel and harsh people blame God instead the facts- the nets. When Christ was raised by his Father everything needed to complete the walk of a child of God was place in him in fullness. A Christain lack nothing because Christ has everything needed to complete us and provide the spiritual food and displine we need.

If two or more are gather in Christ name there is where he is, that is, God's Temple on earth. When people look too man for honor they lose sight of God's spiritual temple. We have approached a heavenly mt Zion that is far greater then the Solomons Temple or any religion on earth.

The need for organized religion is a man need not God need. Man need the power and recognation of the world and being honored by a group. Christ accepted no glory from men or their groups because his kingdom was not part of the earth system of things. Nor would he take new wine and put it into old wine skins.

One then must ask one self where are we leading people too? When disappointment come because all religion are tools that are harsh; have we built into our students the real foundation that cannot be burned up by fire? Furthermore, are we willing to play politics to support a religious organziation that will crush the God Spirit out of new students?

If one of us has been brought to that much light to understand the power of false religion and the affect it has upon little sheep that will be stumbled and we still teach them to come into organization of JW's Witnesses where does that place us in loyalty to Christ and His Father?

There is no place to go away to. You have left nothing and you can gain nothing more then what Christ already has and has had for 2000-years. All power in heaven and earth has been given to the Son of God. Within him dwells the fullness of God and his experience as a man on this earth. The walk of a Christain is very simple it about trusting those statements that is the only way to activate the Holy spirit. Without the God's spirit you cannot understand or see the real organization the only organization God approves that's in heaven. We walk by faith not by sight. Steven faith open the heaven to see Christ setting at the right hand of his Father. The reality was so bright it later blinded Paul.

Everthing a child of God does is because they are being lead by the Holy Spirit the appointments are already set if we trust, that is, have faith! A lowly flower of the field does not question itself and ask if it is a flower or if tommorow their be enough food to make it into a flower.

Shame on us for not trusting that God loves his sheep far more then we can - and has and did provide everything they need before the founding of this world. Shame on us if we feel Christ is not enough. Shame on us for not understanding God's love for His children that no glory goes to men for the incorrputable seed He has place in them. And shame on us for judging the children of a loving Father because they apear weak and foolish from an organized religous stand point.

Leaving something implies one had to be some where in the first place! If it is Christainity then that implies Christ. JW's think EX-witnesses have left God - interesting concept. Disfellowshipping by Jehovah Witness is nothing more then removing someone from an organization a corportation of articles and by laws not God.

If a person had the power to control God' love for his children it hard to believe he would place that power in imperfect human being. That is, the power to determine who gets to associate with God and who does not. Now if God has anything to say on the matter of who He place that power with I think if I recall correctly it was Christ and no one in heaven or earth was give the power or found worthy to be the head/shepard/savior of God children but Chirst.

Christ said there is one door oneway and no one comes to the Father accept through him. Further I think he stated that no one can take a sheep from him. Now if things are as we are told Christ now resides in heaven and to worship him and his Father one must worship with truth and spirit- because that is what both are.

is the watch tower name going away?

i'm seeing more use of the "jehovah's witnesses" name where the watch tower name once was such as the sponsors of the summer conventions.

is this new, or am i just noticing it?

Follow the money trail..................when attorney look to sue they look first and formost - if there is enough money. If the watchtower society is the corporation that is named in the abuse suits then that is where the money will come from.

A corportation is a collective person that exist only on paper even though it has lots of holdings. As long as there is paper work the person or the corporation exist. When suits are leveled it is against that collective person and it holdings. The law does not see colletive person the see the corporation as a person that exist not as a human being but on paper legally.

The individual people running the corporation have a veil of protection against their personal holding becoming part of the lawsuit such as home, land, cars, bank accounts, etc..

Only the holding of that corporation falls within the purveiw of the suit because those funds are on "paper" within the corporation business.

It is not uncommon for corporations to have a number of sister corporations. In other words, to protect their assets and for tax purposes. The cruxs is for the corporation to be legal by law each corporation has to be operated as a seperate business. In other words, transferring funds one from the other or sharing bank accounts proves they are the same not different corporation. Can one corporation barrow money from its sister corporation. Yes, as long as it is a legal transaction as any business can conduct business with another or one person can loan another person money. If the paper work is legal and it is a binding contract and it is accepted and approved by both board of directors and the paper work is there to prove it in court.

If the watch tower society put a new board of directors on the board of another legal corporation and the books are seperate it is legal. If they pump a huge amount of funds into the new corporation from the old the USA attorney would certainly jump on that it would be clear the purpose of the new corporaton is to avoid lawsuits.

If however it was incorporated overseas it would be extremely hard to stop it. As I stated before if the society believes the lawsuit are going to be never ending they must protect some of the assets to continue the corporation. If no further funds come into the Watch Tower corporation and they transact business as usual and slowly the suits and operation drain the Watch Tower corporation funds that ends the suits even with massive judgments against the old Watch Tower corporaton if it has no holdings a person cannot collect.

In other words, you can only get what the asset the corporation has at the time of the lawsuits is won not future business. In other word, the board of directors are not legal bond by law to keep pumping funds into the corporation to pay lawsuits. The courts look at the assets at the time of the suit is won the money that can actually be gotten at the time. If the society was to declare bankruptcy because of the lawsuit that is legal and there is nothing to collect only the money the society had at the time of the bankruptcy was filed.

I doubt the society would file bankruptcy because of public PR. However, to paid the now existing lawsuits out of the old corporation and start a new one. Any furture lawsuits filed would go against the corporation the society was using at the time. And most of them if not all of them would come against the watchtower society. If the watchtower corporation no longer exist or is just a shell in 10-years there is nothing to collect from

I would not be suprize to see the society set up a number of corporations in the next few years. In fact, I know that a person on the GB is not always on the legal board of the corporation and some one may know I don't -- I would not be suprize that the two have been totally seperated and they have some fall guys on the corporate board ?
