Why is the word belief so offensive to you? I have researched a number of artical and all of them go to great length in trying to convince people that the word belief is religously avoided by athiest.
Sound like a group effort to promote what athiest want people to believe about them. A political correct view of their nonbelief doctrine.

Not a problem - I understood the exact response to postings about belief in God - as they say it's not my first rodeo.
From the first post on this thread and all the other ones I have stated my position, that is, people for the most part have their minds made up and are promoting a personal agenda. If a new person was to come on this forum and have an honest concern - they might get their concern addressed if they survived the attacks.
My point is all the hate and discontent thats shown on forums like these. My belief is that people can be rude attack and make hurtful remarks because they never really have to deal with the person on a personal level. We are a disconnected society and some of us remember when things were different and life experience was more important then words.

I sincerely offered the suggestion that certain improvements in your manner of expression might make it easier for some of us to read and take seriously what you are presenting.

I delliberately respond in kind. Over and over again I have posted on this board and over and over again those holding a view against religion start every statement with a put down. They honestly believe that somehow makes them superior.
When repeated back to them they take offence which they should. Is this how intellegent people should response I think not. However, there is a lot of anger among those trying to prove God does not exist. I posted and the attacks started no one cared about my point of veiw they made up their mind and started with the put downs.
People can believe what they want, but if they need to cut a person up too prove their point it does not prove anything but they can win an argument. I for one have never had someone change my mind through put downs.

I am not! But many people claiming faith in God are. Wasn't that the case for many years for people that are atheist in this country?
My point is very simple people should be able to hold any view provided it does not harm others. I don't like self-righteous people in any group. I don't like people that feel they are superior to others because of some knowledge that gives them the right to mistreat others as subhumans.

Well you can glee all you like; I don't care if you post all the posts you can against God it doesn't offend me at all. It is the hateful condescension your beliefs produce that I fined offensive. The same offensive attitude that some Christain hold against your beliefs.
Intimating people into not speaking about what they believe is just one more group like JW's nothing new about people having to hid from those that would persecute them over beliefs. Nothing to be proud of as an accomplishment for the humanrace thats a return to the attitude of the darkages.
