Ultimately, if a person does not forgive have they made themself a god? Seems to me there is a lot of power in holding a grudge. Not forgiving ends a meaningful relationship; is it not a form of punishment for an act of real or precieved trangression?
Often people speak of forgiveness in degrees "I can never forgive you for that, but we can still be friends." Is this statement possible?

Interesting I hadn't thought about it in those terms. My thinking was not so much God forgiving us, but people that hold restentment towards God.

Your right about playing it down. I think there is a political correctness regarding the subject. There should be a world wide out cry for the crimes against Isam woman.
