Lying for Voluntary Contributions

i put the below comment at http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?aid=/20071127/zone02/711280439 in the comment section and am wondering if the jw's at the local levels are adjusting to the possibiltys of misrepresentation for contributions.. --------------------------------------------.

in a simular article posted by a renee k. gadoua*, whom stated 'jehovah's witnesses refer to god as jehovah' is a remarkable statement because it wasn't to long ago when jehovah's witnesses would confidently say that jehovah is god's name even pointing to isaiah 43:10- that the name jehovah's witnesses is bible based.

as a matter of fact, a feature used when offering their bible for volunteery contributions is it restores god's personnel name 'jehovah' some 6000 times plus, to it's proper place in the scriptures.

They hardly ever, ever asked for vuluntary contributions, give them a break, the org has put them in this postition, they pay for the litriture, no one else and 99% of the time they get nothing back, they use their time and own resources, I think you are being really hateful in stating this.

As much as you don't believe in what they preach, they do, and they do it without asking anything. I hope that the b/s wake up to the WTS, why not write a letter to the society in protest for their ;putting their flock to such a terrible situation.

what disturbs me the most is not that there are pedophiles in the congregations of jw's because.

there are pedophiles in all religions, it is the fact that the wtbts has always pointed an accusing.

finger at the churches of christendom for not following the bible, thus not being christain.

Bottom line is the WTS is in hot water, and I hope and pray that more of this comes out, I hope that this will encourage more victims to speak up. And they get legal permission to go into the tower and get those names. This will never stop otherwise, they have to be exposed. I hope it is not over until they are fully exposed for their neglegance in protecting innocent children because of their sick policies.

I think they should by pass the elders and take the complaint to the police. It is totally unreasonable to expect a victim to continue to sit in a KH with the molester, there saying can't prove it, what a disgracful way of dealing with abuse. If it were myself or a family member I'd do everything I could to prove it in court and then take the elders or the WTS to court for neglegence and emotional abuse.

i know there is a lot of buzz due to the nbc story.

i thought i'd share my experience as an elder dealing with abuse.. i attended 23 different congregations in my life and served as an elder or ms in 9 of them.

The WTS is corrupt full stop. I'm in two minds about the elders, the sheep come first not the WTS thats all they should be concerned about the they are shepherds not of an organization but of people real people with feelings, what about all the b/s that also have been stumbled through this.

Are the elders so clinical that all they see is a damn tower. Its called worshiping the WTS and its GB. It's disgracful and I hope the whole bloody thing comes crashing and people see the truth about the heartless bastards and all these coverups come out.

The elders are responsible to Jehovah for shepherding his sheep, full stop.

Mental health and JW's

i'm hoping someone can clear this up for me.

i was recently released from an inpatient behavioral health unit.

i was wondering jw's stance on mental disorders and tratment.

they are not for seeing psychologist or psychiatrists, though would have to see psychiatrist to get analaysis on what the problem is and the right medication.

Years ago in the 70's I remember it was very much frowned upon seeing an medical help for depression as the bible or God's spirit was the remedy, so black and white.

I have noticed that since America and other countries went sue crazy over any little thing, the WTS has changed many policies. I sometimes think the WTS if very very hypocritical and uncaring of b/s on an individual level.

If You're Annointed and You Know It Clap Your Hands...

ok...i see there are a fair number of posters here that have a "heavenly hope".... i can't help but wonder - what would it be like if a group of annointed (those that know in their hearts they will be resurrected to heaven) were to step up to the wbts, claim the authority the society vests in them as the true intermediaries between the great crowd and jesus, and try to give input to the gb?.

how could the gb posisbly say they are not part of the fds?

i suppose they would just paint everyone with the apostasy brush - "because i say they are and they disagree with me" - but wouldn't it be a marvel to see a group come forward to assert the authority and responsibility the gb says is vested in the fds?.

any jw knows that one of the very bad things that a christian must not do is accepting a blood transfusion.

respect for the sanctity of blood ranks highest, in jw theology, on the scale of christian standards, along with not being a murderer, an adulterer, a robber, etc.

in fact, it is the identifying feature of jws for the onlooker.

I asked this question many years ago, and was said that someone could have a fusion out of fear, but if someone practices taking blood to keep onself alive or any other reason it becomes a disfellowshiping matter.
