Jesus H Christ's Custody Battle
by garyneal init's been a while since i posted here but i ran across a youtuber who is going through a custody battle against his wife who is in a religious cult.
he did not mention the name but it sounds like the jehovah's witnesses.
i've researched this in the past myself but was wondering if anyone here has had any knowledge or prior experience with situations like this.. the fact that his own parents have sided with her over this due to him being out is disgusting.

EXACTLY Why JW's Are NOT Christian
by Perry ina lot of people, ex-jws, believers and unbelievers alike, think that jw's are just a somewhat kooky brand of christianity.
is it possible to "try and follow jesus" and not be christian?
what exactly makes someone a christian?

I do not find any agreement in WT for Government positions. I only see references to the great crowd.
" In foretelling the new covenant, Jeremiah highlighted that Jehovah would “forgive their error” and remember sin no more. (Jer. 31:34) You can imagine that Jeremiah might have wondered how God would accomplish that forgiveness. At least he could understand that in speaking of a new covenant, God meant that there would be an agreement, or contract, between Him and humans"
It is obviously a subjective opinion what makes something a "Cult" or a "Christian". Since it is for Christ to judge I will leave it in his hands. He is far more capable than I.

Come on. Stop being manipulated by the liberal Democrat media. It is absolutely ridiculous to link this incident to JWs. Look at the HUGE population of mentally ill, violent, criminals in this country, or the whole world and you jump on this little bone? It is only a matter of statistics. Get a real fucking education. Serious? You can not do any better?
This losers mental illness was NARCISSISM so get over it. No one wants to hold criminals responsible for their own behavior so the criminal then becomes the victim? Congratulations liberal media! You have now managed to completely dishonor the ACTUAL victims. Their names were ALLISON PARKER and ADAM WARD btw.

Oh it was soooo brutal! Waaah! I can not believe it! History is soooo scary!
Define brutal? It was exactly on par for that time in history. I guess you can not believe ISIS burns people alive throws them from a building and stones them to death either? Are you going to run around erasing it in the history books? Oh I guess you will believe it if it is on an episode Dexter. Never mind, myyy baaad, lmao!

JWs are just weird people, I think their going insane!
by ReligionOfHatred inthere's a interesting situation emerging where i live and i want to share it all with you because its proof i think jehovah has pulled his holy spirit away.
when elders think they can steal from the government and pretend to be holy, than jehovah god has left us!.

My Book, 'Gifts in Men', by Patricia F.Sadio
by GiftsinMen inanother member on here announced the publication of my new book "gifts in men, a heavier responsibility" a couple of months ago and some of you asked who i was as to my authenticity and motives.
i have had an amazing reaction to my book even from jws who know me and my story but were still shocked at the details.
i was not raised a jw, not disfellowshipped nor disassociated and loved being a regular pioneer, serving in uk and ireland.

Patricia, I have no doubt that your experience is true and valid to your perception. I am curious to know if you have been D/F since then because from what I know of the term "shunned" is not used by JW only by Amish people. Would you please clarify if you have time. Ty -

Are we helping to fulfill "prophecy"?
by LexIsFree ini'm sure this has been discussed before, but i have been thinking the last few days about all of us.
the "evil apostate" family.
we all have suffered at the hands of the org and their brain washing of our family and friends.
-

Philosophically we ALL bring about our own persecution. No one needs "evidence" of that. Evidence is completely subjective. No one can cause you to suffer without your permission. Suffering doesn't prove that someone else is wrong. What it proves is that you will go to any lengths, including self-destruction, to prove that you are right. Just ask yourselves what is your purpose in life?
Many who consider themselves Christians all through time and even today have been persecuted and killed for religious reasons. (ISIS anyone?) However just because many different people are persecuted, not just JW or Christians does not in my opinion make them any less likely to be a fulfillment of prophesy.
REMEMBER that the opposite of Love is not hate. It is indifference. You used an emotional argument meaning you have unresolved feelings. If someone was a "Dear" friend than why would they not speak to you in years? Does that fit the definition?
When you do not find answers you are not asking the right questions. Good Luck.

Why I remain one of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Brother Jeramy inallow me to begin with a clarification: when i say i am one of jehovah's witnesses, i don't mean that i am an advocate of the watchtower society or a devotee of some of its more controversial false teachings.
i mean that i am a christian, a disciple of jesus christ dedicated to jehovah god, and who remains in union with my brothers and sisters who make up the family of faith that globally refers to itself as jehovah's witnesses.
some totally understand the distinction between the family of brothers and sisters and the corporate organization known as the watchtower society (wts).

Thank you Brother J.. It is not easy to agree to disagree but that is part of being an evolved human being. I just got here (this forum) and am very happy to read your post. It would be very easy to just walk away or discard everything as false. Just as it is too easy to blindly accept everything as truth. But I know if someone truly "knew" in their own heart and are at peace with leaving they would not be here trying to hate on someone else s views. I was where you were at one time in my life but not now. However I feel it is important to keep my mind and heart open either way and in the end, I believe that takes more strength.

my intro to the JW world
by rebelfighter insomeone suggested that i should introduce myself and how i got here.
this has been a crash course in the jw world.
i got an email that said "good bye, have a nice life".

Rebel fighter yes you are lucky to be rid of this guy. Yes you should report him asap. At least expose him living a double life.On the other hand I am wondering why on earth you were associating with him for all these years? 6YEARS? What were you expecting to get out of this ? I am curious to know. If I am understanding your post you kept things platonic. I hope you did for your sake, not his. Was that your choice or both of you decided this? You yourself describe him as " the nicest, sweetest, kindest man I have ever known". Ok, so after 6 years you are unfulfilled somehow or not I do not know. But if you believe he mislead you(which seems possible) why did you continue to follow? Just askin.
And Kaik, you have no idea what a "cult" is.
