  actually i did see it my my, but since you said "Fool's" with an "S" i assumed you knew that that means more than one. Its what we who use the english language call "plural".

  yes you are right outlaw, i shouldnt have entered it (the thread) and i should have known when to leave it. i'm really sorry i didnt cause i hate the back and forth stuff when others do it and now i'm no better. just annoys me when people try to say they hate the org for what they do and then they act just like them. for once why cant someone ask a question or ask for proof without being ridiculed and treated like they dont have that right?

  Where are all the so called insults that us "fools" have thrown at you MY MY??

  perhaps your real problem is that we 'arent' fools anymore. someone who blindly believes anything they are told is a fool..or under mind control.

  i dont know if you are telling the truth or not, could be. at this point with your arrogant and ignorant attitude, who gives a shit? i wouldnt want to be with you in any cause you take up just because as a person you are....lets just say, not very nice.

  since when is asking questions and being cautious and skeptical 'hindering' the work? doesnt it seem odd to you that someone who is upset because of the organizations mind control and lies would then ask us to do the same thing as the org has made us do all those years?....

  namely, 'dont question or try to find proof of what I am telling you, just believe it cause I said its true'. 'if you ask questions and try to make me prove what i am saying, its because you are 'childish' and i 'dont have time for your shit'.

  sounds kinda like kicking someone out of the org because they ask too many questions.

  guess i'm not welcome to join your little crusade either because i refuse to give up my free right to think for myself and ask questions of anything i need clarification on. i was given a brain for a reason and i wont be blindly following anyone again ever. the truth is always the truth and it can always stand up to scrutiny.

  most people are under the impression that the watchtower.

  don't break up families, well people lets give them a. few examples.

  since i left the jehovah witnesses my mother .

  too many people to name actually but to start with my father has been basically shunning me since i was a teenager even though i was still in the org. i apparently wasnt active enough and wasnt displaying a love for the truth or setting theocratic goals. i wasnt doing anything 'wrong' mind you..just not good enough.

  my three sisters followed suit after i stopped going to the meetings although i wasnt df'd or anything. it just appeared that i no longer wanted to be part of the org so in their opinion is the same thing as being df'd.

  my moms sister and her husband started around the same time my sisters did. everyone in the congregation started about the same time too. i was inactive and going only occasionally to meetings so in their minds i was 'wordly'.

  anyway, all shunning rules are in full effect now by any and every jw who knows who know my status as i am now df'd.

  sometimes it doesnt bother me at all and i am like 'f*** them i dont care what they think of me'. but other times after going day after day living in the same house with them i feel so sick of being looked down upon as not good enough to even have my presence acknowledged unless its to express a negative opinion about me or something i've done.

  thinking i gotta start playin the lottery..'cant win if you dont play'. isnt that what they say? :)

  exactly. the people sitting in the hall during the meetings have no idea whats going on. they honestly believe they are in Gods only 'true' organization. they dont know any of the things that go on behind closed doors. they dont know any of the false prophecies and double standards and all the other things that prove the Society is a fraud.

  they are innocent victims that were subjected to that display and i guarantee you that for most of them it will only further cement in their minds the fact that the 'world' is wicked and Satan is the leader of the world.

  if the goal of ex jw's who care is to get their friends, family members, and fellow victims out of there then they are so wrong in thinking this is the way to go about it.

  if i was present during a display like this, even in my df'd state, i would run back to the org and become reinstated, thinking to myself 'geez, this really must be the truth since they are making up lies and attacking us'. of course this reasoning makes no sense to you guys but its how jw's think, at least all the ones i've ever known in my life. 'they persecuted me and they will persecute you also'..remember? i'm sure that scripture was being read by a lot of them afterwards.

  not only that but why and how could they do that with children present?

  of course this is just being written from the point of view that this so called meeting actually took place. in the posts i have read no one has given any kind of proof that it did and i'm far from convinced. i cant imagine any elders inviting them to the hall to discuss this on a meeting night and then discussing it from the platform with 200 people present. that is so far fetched its hilarious. and the elders cursing and getting ready to physically fight the cops?? puleeeeeaase.

  but then again, i think the whole idea of the organization i grew up in and who's teachings i whole heartedly believed to the point of trying to murder myself for not living up to the standards being a fraud is so far fetched that its hilarious also.

  i am one confused chick to say the least! but i'm basically convinced of the latter and hardly convinced of the former.

  Elders-Desire To Assist Others?

  it is said of jw elders that they "can provide protection by listening attentively to his problem, offering bible-based counsel, and giving encouragement or practical help.

  like their appointed king, christ jesus, they want to help those who have been 'thrown about.

  ' (matthew 9:36) and they desire to assist others who have been damaged by the winds of false teaching.

  when i started to miss meetings and field service for various reasons i never got a call, visit, or word of encouragement from any elder, pioneer or anyone else for that matter. i always figured they would be there eventually especially around CO visit time but no one ever said a word to me.

  i guess it was because my father was a elder and watchtower conductor and building committee guy so they figured my spiritual welfare was being taken care of by him. but little did they know that my father started 'shunning' me while i was just a teen. as soon as it became apparent to him that i didnt have lofty, theocratic goals.

  the only time i heard anything from the elders was when i started going to the meetings again after about a year or two of not going and they were all 'were so glad you came back..yada yada yada'. and then they df'd me.

  that offering 'bible based counsel' and 'encouragement' is a load of crap.

  Quality of this Forum

  just a quick thought - i am a firm believer in freedom of speech etc, but having been on this forum for some time i honestly can't say that i can introduce a doubting jw interested in true christianity to this board.

  some of the deep discussions on jw doctrine are excellent, but everything else seems to be nonsense in my opinion.

  why can't this site be more like the old www.witnesses.net which seemed to have more spiritual meat rather than backbiting, gossip, and rumour and even obscenity.. sorry for my frank opinion

  i agree with you 100%. as someone who just recently found this site and just started learning the truth about the society, its very difficult to convince yourself of what is the truth and what isnt. coming here and seeing mostly references to sexuality, arguments and obscene language it makes you wonder if you are doing the right thing by being here. especially for someone who just left or is leaving the 'truth' its hard to come here and be convinced of anything at first.

  fortunately though, it appears that the periods of 'unrelated' topics seem to come in waves. recently there was some arguing about 'fluff' posts and it seems that these kind of posts have picked up dramatically since then. i'm very grateful to God that when I found this place there wasnt nearly as many and what i read convinced me to research the org further.

  i have read enough at other sites and in books to know that the 'truth' is a lie but at times the indoctrinization is so deep that i find myself convincing myself that i am making a mistake. i come here and see all these vulgar unrelated topics and it puts even more doubts in my mind. even though i know the truth, days will go by where i feel i am wrong and where i dont know one thing from another.

  this site cannot be the main source of information for a newly doubting or leaving JW. they need to read some of the quieter boards on other sites that have more related topics based on facts and research. i would send them to randy's site before this one or brother blizards (i think thats the name). this one is great for forming friendships with other xjw's and sharing experiences but for information and facts about the org it is too hard to get that information here.

  this place is great once you know the facts and accept that its a lie.

  is it just me, or is "everyone" on this board bitter?.

  i do know alot of happy jws and, i could not see them being anything else but jws.... .

  this is just my take on what i have been reading on the boards sence i joined up...
