Too Posh To Push
by Englishman init seems that many uk women are opting to have their babies via a caesarian operation because they don't want to experience the pain of childbirth.. the national health service will only perform caesarians if there is a genuine medical neccessity for doing so.. women such as liz hurley and victoria beckham paid to have their babies via a c section even though it wasn't medically neccessary.

i wonder if they will regret it later in life?.

Lets face it gals, as long as men run this great planet of ours that double standard isnt going anywhere. Or as long as women continue to buy into it and starve themselves down to skin and bones to fit into it (pun intended ;)). More power to people like Queen Latifah...selling pizza hut with her head held high.
Now back to more important things...*sigh*
dont mind me i'm in my own little world over here.
edited to say: i think i'm in love

I'm so sad...
by Country Girl ini don't think i'll be coming to the aposta-chili-fest.
my son is facing so many felonies in texas, and it makes me so darned so sad and embarrassed.
i've been accused of being a bad mother.

(((((CG)))))
life isnt easy and parenting is even harder than that. personally as a parent, i dont see a person who does something wrong as being 'necessarily' a bad person nor do i see it as a necessary reflection on how well or poorly they were raised. gone are the days of jumping to judgement about people.
sounds to me like you could use the weekend to at least get away from that reality for a couple of days...

I agree with you about the annoying double standard on TV and in real life. Overweight guys are everywhere on sitcoms but even slightly overweight women are rarely seen. And when you do see them they are usually loud, obnoxious women like Roseanne was.
Most of the guys in my family have very high metabolism and dont have to put much effort at all into staying in a normal weight range..all they have to do is stop drinkin beer and they lose like 20 lbs. Whereas most of the woman have to work obsessivly hard to stay in a so called 'normal' weight range for their height. Also unfair :(.

yummmmm! Jeff Goldblum is hottt! But Tyson is hotter ;)
Obviously who wouldnt want a guy who looks like a male supermodel and has a great personality to boot? But realistically, as long as a guy has great qualities inside and isnt a fat slob or gross like that guy on that tv 'fiance' tv show it doesnt matter as much if he isnt in perfect shape.
I have to disagree that just because one person is passionate about staying in great shape the spouse must also be the same. There are many things in life to be passionate about and just cause a couple is married doesnt mean they 'have' to have exactly the same interests. As long as one stays healthy and takes fairly good care of themselves who cares if they are in tip top shape or the perfect weight all the time?
Anyway, damn he is just sooo hot!!

If I had another child and had a choice, it would be a tough choice to make. I had a nice easy childbirth naturally without the use of any drugs the first time but I am thinking I was just lucky. I have heard how much MORE painful C sections are to recover from so I doubt very highly that these women are chosing c sections for that reason. More than likely its for the same reason I would consider going through that pain if I ever had another...natural childbirth irreversibly changes a womans body like it or not. Kegels or no kegels, things arent going to be the same 'down there' after 8 lbs of human comes out. All thats left from a C section is scars.
Is a natural birth an important part of bonding between mother and baby?
LOL.......i am sure you are kidding right?
