As in are they planted callers? I don't think so...I hear callers naming them "Jehovah Witnesses" rather than "Jehovah's Witnesses" which is a common mistake for people not involved in the religion. I imagine the radio station is doing a good job of screening calls and picking those on major doctrines.
Yeah, but they (WT) know that people call them that. It sounds like planted callers to me.

I guess they have forgotten the lesson of the prodical son.And here we go again...Only the WT double think double speak can translate the meaning of kindness and twist it into being cruel. Where does forgiveness come into this picture? Didn't Jesus himself express the message that to err is human and to forgive is divine? I am not sure what I believe anymore--Christian or otherwise, but I do know the WT Org continues to spew its hypocritical message to their members and it is shocking to see it for what it truly is.

Well you would have flipped if you had seen the pictures in yesterday's lesson!! Next to the one picture, there is a caption which says: "Christian elders strive to be kind in dealing with the flock". And the picture? Two elders seated in the "back room" talking to a sister. Why couldn't it have been a man? Don't they realize pictures are worth 1,000 words? Are women the only ones needing to be talked to by elders in the "back room?" The other picture, on the next page, is again, a woman getting the short end of the stick. She has an anguised look on her face, seated at the table, while her husband is railing in the background. The caption: Jehovah's loving-kindness will not fail his servants in difficult times"
i've been doing alot more research than i ever have when i was a dub.
and i'm starting to realize its not just what the dubs teach that seem coincidental.
its what the bible shares.
Why do we have to have faith, if we are to be saved?
A very good question and one I have not had an adequate answer to within myself.I reason that faith adds to the character of an individual and possibly adds the dimension of being able to look beyond the surface, enhancing our ability to gain insight and wisdom?
The Bible is a book of faith and belief, first off. If we believe that God exists and he sent his son to earth as a ransomer to save mankind and put faith in that, then I think they both would be very proud of us that we believed what was written in the gospels about Jesus,although we weren't there at the time he lived and died and saw his miracles. I hold on to this scriputre, 2nd part: "Nevertheless, when the Son of man returns, will he really find faith on the earth?" It's a rhetorical question and can only be answered by those who want faith or have faith. Plus it seems this all that's being asked of us humans.

What if a Christian woman?s unbelieving husband insists that she present herself to vote? Well, she is subject to her husband, just as Christians are subject to the superior authorities. (Ephesians 5:22; 1 Peter 2:13-17) If she obeys her husband and goes to the polling booth, that is her personal decision. No one should criticize her.?Compare Romans 14:4.What of a country where voting is not mandated by law but feelings run high against those who do not go to the voting booth?perhaps they are exposed to physical danger? Or what if individuals, while not legally obliged to vote, are severely penalized in some way if they do not go to the polling booth? In these and similar situations, a Christian has to make his own decision. "Each one will carry his own load."?Galatians 6:5.
Question: Is this the only country where a person has to register to vote and to get a voter registration card? If a woman is being made to to go to the polling booth by her husband, she can't vote unless she is a registered voter.....why didn't they cover this?

Anyone found to have been called for jury duty will be approached by the elders and pressured to make the 'right' decision
Not in this area, Ozziepost. Several JWs including elders have served on juries. But them I live in a state without a death penalty. I think most JWs would ask to be excused from such a trial.Blondie
In the area where I live, there was an elder who served on a jury connected to the death penalty. Of course the other elders in his cong. were wondering what he was thinking...he must have known during jury selection...but anyway he is still an elder.

D. Carefully follow the guidance that known pedophiles shouldn't be left alone with other individual's children, should not be going out in the service alone and should not occupy positions of responsibility in the congregation.
While this whole issue of child abuse is disheartening, the above is something that concerns me which the society still needs to address. #1--If a pedophile goes in service (man, doesn't that sound strange in of itself?) and meets someone who wants to study, and they start a study with that person, (all the while being accompanied with an adult companion) what does he do when he gets to the part about being a moral person, and teaching the person about Jehovah's high moral standards, avoiding sexual perversions such as he has carried on or still might be carrying on? and #2--what prevents a pedophile from going in service alone? He could just pick some houses on a street, and go to them and keep it all a secret.
