That might have been the book I looked thru once several years ago. Anyway, in one of those old publications, it mentioned that The Word/Logos/the one who became Jesus was the "good son" and Lucifer was the "bad son", and that they would be at odds until God put a stop to it. It made sense to me, and looking at it like that, we puny humans are just caught in the middle in this battle. There is much more going on in the universe than we know and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

I did not know this...
by mouthy ini was just going through the jw book "delieverance " in the preface it states,the name of three great beings herein made conspicuous are: jehovah the father,and the logos,and lucifer his sons!!!!
this book is printed in 1926 year before my birth.... dec 2006 issue states that part of the antichrist is those who believe in the trinity... well in this book delieverance it states,catholics,& protestants,are under the supervision & control of the devil & form part of .his visable organization,& therefore constitute the antichrist.. .
since i dont belong to the catholic or the protestant church .....i just believe i am part of the trinity,( 3 in one) body soul & spirit.... made in his image.... i guess they have at least stuck to this teaching...... the antichrist is anyone who dont follow the teachings of the wt...... on page 214. it talks about false doctrines.... it is written "anyone claiming for themselves the exclusive authority to interpret the scriptures ,for a long time the ecclesiastics kept the people in ignorance of the text of the bible by discouraging them from studying it;.

Maybe it means to be like God. I read an interesting book, and it's very short, can be read in a day. It's called God Does Not Create Miracles -You Do. It's written by Yehuda Berg and certainly makes one think on a different scale.

How can a religion be so controlling over people? What about fundamentalist, radical Islam which wants everyone dead from east to west, and make the world an Islamic place to live. They are taught in school to hate everyone and that anyone who isn't like them are cows, pigs and apes.

i remember in my jw life, at different conventions/assemblies when the speakers would be talking about things related to the paradise earth.
they would always say, "if you pictured yourself there, then you will no doubt be there.".

I also saw What the Bleep....but not Conversations With God. However I have heard other people speak about how tapping into the universe with positive thinking can make things happen. That is such an awesome concept. Anyway, my friend has The Secret DVD and is inviting me and a couple more of her friends to come over and watch it, but it won't be till the beginning of December.

This scripture is used but if one really applies it, then one will find they might be DA'd or DF'd.

From the NWT:
Romans 12:16: "Be minded the same way toward others as to yourselves; do not be minding lofty things, but be led along with the lowly things. Do not become discreet in YOUR own eyes."
I would say this especially applies to the gov. body who claim to be part of the f&ds.
Another one would be James 1:27 "The form of worship that is clean and undefiled is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world."
They go right to the last part of the scripture and forget about the orphans and widows part.

I guess I'm torn. I am sort of leaning towards Deism but I also agree with AuldSoul about Christianity. I like the idea of Buddhism which maybe can be practiced along with Christianity as well.
