  in ancient times god was very anthropomorphic.

  he walked in the garden "in the breezy part of the day".. he talked to man.. he was suprised by events.

  he asked questions as though he needed information.. he was emotional and spontaneous.

  You guys are so far above me, intellectually that is, (sorry, not many can beat my sense of humor and charm) that sometimes it actually hurts my head to read these things.

  Ahhh, but this pain is good as I try to wrap my stunted little mind around your writings.

  I love Mark Twain, I just got a book of short stories a few years ago at a dusty old book store. My memory escapes me but I remember there was a story that I found fascinating. I'll have to look it up.

  Why, when I was 21, did you not answer my prayers? I told you I was confused and didn't know how to sort through all of the "Christian" religions and figure out how you wanted to be worshipped.

  Do you remember me driving to the park before sunrise so that I could pray to you as the sun came up?

  Why didn't you let me know I was getting involved with a cult that would damage my life and my family?

  hello all, yes i am still in, but man it's getting so hard to continue to give up my life , for something that's just not happening, my wife is pioneering, and i just cant contiue to do this.

  cost of living,gas, we sold our home 4 yrs agao.

  man that was a mistake.

  we are blazing through the time we live in, seeking freedom from the oppression around is, in us, through us.

  we are opening our minds to new ways of thinking, feeling, living, sharing.. it's not easy, we pay a price, for some of its much higher than others.

  we suffer alone, endure hardships, bear the truth and it's consequences.. there is no new land to conquer, no nations to be born, no places to run to any longer.

  What do you miss from yesteryear?

  i met a childhood friend recently and he told me with nostalgia that he recalled the childhood days as being very pleasant.

  i told him they would be since we were living under the protection of our parents who took care of all our needs and we had no worries about anything.

  it would be like paradise.

  I miss being able to beat any boy on the playground in a race.

  I miss being the kickball champ and the spelling bee champ.

  I miss keeping track of the names I had picked out for my future twins in a notebook.

  I miss worshipping the summer sun in a bikini and swatting the boys away like flies.

  I miss being a young mother with beautiful, funny, smart kids to tuck in bed at night.

  I miss feeling like my whole life was ahead of me and anything was possible.

  Favourite foreign languages?

  what foreign language or languages do you enjoy most listening to, though you may not be able to understand the words?

  i find several foreign languages pleasant to listen to, french with its refinement, italian with its sing song musical quality, and german with its coarse but resolute intonation.

  i also like the sound of russian and castillian spanish.
