i might ruffle some feathers here.
we know in high school there is always a seperation of the students to a point, in groups or clicks... like the nerds, the jocks, preps, stuck up types, popular/not popular, druggies, bullies, etc.
so after months of reading everyone here, i know there would be groups formed among all the members here, if we were to be put into a gathering situation.
Yeah, you might get jumped on for this.
I never was in any one group or clique. I normally got along with everyone and I hung out with a lot of different people from different cliques. I am the same now. Different friends for different things I like to do.
BUT... I always stayed away from the a&&holes and jerks.

I love Clapton and this is one of my favorite songs.
One time I pulled into a gas station in the middle of this song and stayed in my car dancing in my seat and singing at the top of my lungs. When I got out a guy had pulled on the other side of the pump and was cracking up laughing, said he enjoyed the show and something about "when the music moves you".
I was embarassed for about 10 seconds and began to laugh as well.

i hated that people tried to overstep the normal boundaries humans have with strangers and get all "brotherly and encouraging".
when we changed congregations, i found it so annoying when people we barely knew tried to act as if we were best friends.
I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I believed in the brotherhood.
I still believe there are a lot of people from the halls I attended that love me.
Problem is - it's conditional. To me that's not real love.
As soon as I'm officially disfellowshipped I will no longer exist, I will be dead to them.
i've heard this been said before that when you have had loads to drink and when your inhibitions are temporarily removed then the real you is exposed.
i.e:.
some people when they've got a skinfull they might start talking about money & bragg about personal financial achievements and how much more money they're going to earn.. some people after a few beers suddenly think they're rocky balboa and think they can take the world on.. others after sinking some g & t's might turn into a crazed sexual tyrannosaurus!!.
I don't drink large quantities when I do drink, normally 1-3 drinks over the course of an evening.
I'm pretty silly to begin with so it makes me a little sillier.
I think drinking releases your inhibitions but that doesn't mean THE REAL YOU comes out. Just that you don't have anything holding you back from acting in a way that you may not act without alcohol.
You may respond by being a bit more of an ass, or flirtier, or goofier or whatever.
Did I just contradict myself?
I'll think about this over a glass of wine this evening.
