I certainly don't have in inside scoop, but my feeling is they have got to see the "writting on the wall". This is the information age and information is power. Try as they might to keep their people uneducated and underpaid in an effort to keep them in an innocent and naive state of mind, the gig is up. With 1914 so far behind us and it's very meaning on shaky ground, they can't keep this up forever. Can you say "exit strategy"?

Why are the WT selling prime estate in Brooklyn - do they know something
by needproof inso i hear that the wt are selling lots of property; worth millions.
1) they sincerely think the end is soon .
2) they just want the money .

What do you do to fill the void?
by R.F. ini know many of you are dfed, daed, and faded.
what do you do to fill the void of the time left that was devoted to the religion?
i just like to know what activities you all are into.

I was afraid of the void. But there was no void. Instead there was relief. Relief that I did not have to rush home to catch the meeting. Relief of not feeling guilty for turning in less that 10 hours FS. Relief that I could make choices w/o guilt. Relief at meeting nice people and not having to keep them "at arms length" because they are "wordly". Relief that now that I don't "put the kingdom first" (which to a JW means not "first " but "only") I can actually live like a normal person for the very first time in my life.

Can anybody prove this statement concerning the WT?
by needproof inindeed it was the rothschilds who funded the jehovah's witness operation into being, along with other bankers, through "contributions" by organisations like the rothschild-controlled b'nai b'rith.
this was proved in a court of law in 1922.

I'd love to see the proof of that statement!

This month marks a year since I reported FS. I can't remember the last time I felt this proud of an accomplishment.
I have come a long way in my de-programing. So far, the conclusions I've reached are: 1- The borg does not have the "truth" because there is no absolute "truth". 2- There may or not be a god. 3- If there is one he does not count FS hours and meeting attendance. 4- No one has the right to tell me how and when and to whom I should show love. 5- We should all delight in our individuallity and what makes us "special". Pressure to "conform" damages the spirit.
These are but a few of the thoughts floating around in my head lately. I am open to new ideas and make no apologies for indulging in them. I am finally FREE!

Targeting the mentally ill.
by Fleshybirdfodder inperhaps this is just my personal experience (i grew up in a less than liberal, "fire and brimstone" congregation) but it seemed to me that we attracted and "exploited" (for lack of a better word) people who had mental illnesses and most definitely should have been directed to professional help.
i think it may be because our congregation was in a small town, and our territory was "slim pickings" as one elder described it, so if they could target the weak with promises of a glorious paradise to beef up their monthly report, so be it.
it was easy to target those who may feel like pariahs, promise them friendship and love, dunk them and drop them when their needs interfere with the theocratic agenda.

W/o the mentally ill the borg's #s would go way down. When you're in the borg you were either already crazy or made crazy by the borg. Anyone who stays in the borg is certifiably crazy!!!
Sorry for the overgeneralizing - I'm in a venting mood!

Hi all! My old persona was a bit to revealing and the wolves are closing in. I have not posted here in a while because of it. But I missed being here so I'm back as "changeling". I'll PM a few of you to let you know who I am. I know I will get nasty comments about being cowardly, two-faced or whatnot. I'm doing this so I can continue my fade and not suffer any more at the hands of the borg. Most of you will understand.
Glad to be back,
