I'm with blondie. Most who go to multiple conventions are shopping for a mate.

Is Man's Spirituality Deeply Embedded in The Unconscious Under a "God Image" Archetype?
by frankiespeakin ini think this was one jung's main ideas.
and that tending to our spiritual side is import for good health mentally,,and that the psyche is designed to go thru a maturation process toward wholeness, at what ever level it of consciousness it can reach and that level in some way effects the entire human collective of consciousness/unconscious.. the world comes into existence by being made known,, the whole evolution of mankind and way of thinking consciously has been in that direction ever since we ate the forbidden fruit of consciousness it's evolution is like a macrocosm of the microcosm that goes on with each individual human..

It's an interesting theory. I don't know about the "collective consciousness" bit, but I do think the idea of god and having a spiritual side was handed down from ancient man. Most do not question their "spiritual side" and take for granted it's being real simply because the concept is so entrenched in the human psyche.

I agree that we are powerful, but how does this translate to "spiritual" or having a "soul"?

A, uh, belated introduction
by SweetBabyCheezits inquick bio: born-in, third gen jw, devout family, dad an elder/po, mom pioneered off/on, baptized at age 10 (my elder dad asked me to wait but i didnt), had overall good childhood, toured bethel, aux pio off/on, finished hs early, reg pio for a year then pio school, met amazing jw girl (also third gen devout), spent a year in community college (paid for by fairly conservative jw parents), got a good job, married amazing jw girl, appointed as ms, delivered public talks and parts on ca/dc, wife and i had first child.
it was a near-storybook jw life (except no bethel).
i had a couple of normal issues in teenage years, but sought the assistance from the elders and ironed it out.

Many religions (Christians in particular) build their beliefs on an afterlife. The afterlife becomes the goal, "this" life is just a stepping stone. This causes many (look at JWs) to deny themselves real growth in favor of focusing on a life they will never see.
Grow now, learn now, "be" now... if there is an afterlife it will take care of itself...

I love to ponder... but just because something is "ponderable" doesn't make it real...

Why do you say "we are spiritual beings"? Do you have proof of this or just a feeling?
Where does any organic life form go when it dies? We are no different, when we die we cease to exist.
What's important is making our life count while we have it. :)
