Thought for the day
by Bumble Bee ini received this in an email, loved it and thought i'd share with you:.
life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, .
love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you .

And, maybe, it is not too late.
by nvrgnbk inand it is also time to end the nightmare of slavery to the diseased ideals of mindless growth, rapacious consumption, and the utterly insane notion that unrestrained self-interest ought not be controlled.
though the fundamental freedom to pursue one's own interests is absolutely vitaleven sacred and must be protectedwe must stop justifying the cruel, unrestrained pursuit of wealth and power.
we must stop glorifying greed with the now popular lie that unfettered avarice is our best guide down the path of the greatest good for the greatest number!

That's just wrong! To burden your child with something like that is irresponsible. Watch that kid grow up to hate boxing!

nrvgnbk: I totally understand you, and I feel the same way. My new, free life as a no longer JW has turned me into a "bleeding heart liberal". I want to celebrate life and people and the earth and art and music and.... you get the picture. I feel passionate about protecting the planet and championing causes that defend the oppressed. Where I have no problem with wealth, I feel we all need to give back and be responsible. We need to use the resorces we have available to help and protect others and to protect and heal the environment.

Bringing Children Into This World
by Mysterious insince leaving the jws how has your opinion of "bringing children into this world" changed?.
it floored me the other day to hear a 19 year old non-jw say she didn't want to bring kids into the world because of the state it was in.
it struck me as a very jw thing to say, or at least something i would not expect from a young person..

Having children is one of the most wonderful things life has to offer. It's also a very personal and serious desicion that each individual should come to in his or her own time.

You "Evil Slavers" are doing your jobs WELL!! LOL Read more....
by NotaNess in( a day ago) - so a couple of witnesses were talking and i heard one mention that he was on the "security" group of dubs for his convention.
they all had to meet early to discuss the barrage of "evil slave" class coming in and handing out cards with apostate information and also to watchover the restrooms, cause the "evil slave" likes to put flyers and stuff in there as well.
there was mentioning of how they would handle those ones.... just a note of encouragement, i guess, but it seems as if you ex-dubs that try and release the other actives, definitely are having an impact in some ways.. .

It always amused me how some dubs took the security and parking attendant jobs at conventions sooo seriously! Like they are playing cops and robbers or Mission Imposible or something. I guess they have to get their jolies somewhere.

Has your idea of how you want to be disposed of changed?
by sinis inof course i'm talking about death.
i know in the borg, since most people are cheap, or don't have money, there was always a push for cremation.
i know my grandmother was cremated, as well as my father in law, and i think the issue was more for finances.

I'm actually a little obscessed with this issue... I have never liked the idea of cremation. I do want my funeral to be "pretty". I want an inexpensive but classy coffin. I want flowers and music (music that means something to me, I shall make a list) and I want a graveside service under a canopy, where anyone who feels the need can say a few words about how they feel(not too long). Nothing religious. I want to be buried in a picturesque cemetary (I love cemetaries), preferably a very old one. I want a gravestone that says something I stand for (still thinking about that). And then I want my family to gather for dinner and tell funny stories about me.

E-watchman says Ray Franz is 'animalistic' LOL!
by yaddayadda inin a critique of 'captives of a concept', robert king accuses anyone who can't get past all of the watchtower society's 'obstacles' as animalistic and lacking spirituality, including don cameron and ray franz.
it's mindblowing how this bloke can consistently call the watchtower leaders liars, blind, false prophets, dishing up vomitous things, etc, yet continue to preach that they are still a 'faithful steward' uniquely appointed by christ.
so, while it is true that jehovahs witnesses have not come to know the judgment of jehovah, cameron is similarly captive to a concept; and hence, ignorant of jehovahs judgment.

I did not wast my time reading that E-Watchman exerpt as I believe (as I've posted before and will post again) that: ROBERT KING IS CRAZY!!!!!!
Let's not support his lunacy by going to his website folks!
