I have an iPad 2 and my wife has a Dell Streak. They both have their pros and cons. First off, I would consider a 3G/4G enabled tablet...though it works great on wifi, you aren't always in a place that has wifi available and then your tablet is worthless for internet or mail. iPad is very well made, stable, great screen, 3g can be bought "on demand" with no monthly commitment, good apps and e-mail integration. The downside is that it has no storage capability (you have to send documents to e-mail to save), is quit costly and doesn't support Flash (so some websites won't work). The Streak is very affordable, supports 3G and 4G (in the US, T-Mobile supports the device), has a memory card slot, uses Android operating system and is easy to carry. The downside is 7" screen, lower than average battery life, Android OS is more glitchy than iOS and if you need to synch with Outlook, it is nearly impossible to do so without a third party program requiring you to tether to your computer to synch. If you are on MS Exchange Server, either device synchs wirelessly. Having used both, I prefer the iPad today...if Android stabilizes their OS a bit more, I would probably look at a high quality, fast processor Android tablet.

Is POLYGAMY ever justifiable? I say yes, Yes, and YES!!!!!!
by Judge Dread init is in the nature of man to want to have more than one woman.. a man cannot help himself.
he was born that way.. if it was legal, men would have multiple wives, two, three, maybe ten if he could afford it.. that's all.. jdw .

Question...?
by cptkirk indoes anyone come into this religion who is doing well in life?
not to say any one particular person never did well in life, but when they were studying and getting baptized, at that particular time in their life, were things going good for them?.
i'm trying to figure out if anyone comes into this religion, while life is going good for them.

I knew several...I think it depends on the location of the congregation. If it is in Beverly Hills, the chances are better that the person is well to do...if it is in an economically deprived area, I would guess it unlikely.

2 year old in China run over-people just walk by
by PaintedToeNail inwhen i saw this article on the news it really disturbed me.
the callousness of the 'people' walking by this poor, sweet baby as she lay writhing in pain and all alone, was horrific to say the least.
my blood truly felt like it ran cold and i've been thinking about this little girl all night.

When I was in China, the one thing I noticed was that people would avoid eye contact when you walked in the streets and act as if they are in a "bubble"...as to traffic, it is pedestrian beware! I think that the cities are so crowded that people lose their connection to others, and it becomes a self preservation issue. It is very sad that they would just walk by...and even worse, was the subsequent drivers running over the injured child...disgusting. What struck me was that the ones ignoring the child were men...not until a woman saw her did she get any attention. Makes me ashamed for my fellow males in that part of the world.

That crazy FDS and the GB connection...or lack thereof.
by Aussie Oz inthe whole fds and the gb representing them is a huge jump of impossible logic.... if the wt do not by their own admission, count the annointed nor know how many real ones there are, if they dont consult the remaining ones, the faithful slave how the hell can the gb 'represent' them?.
i mean, how can i for example tell the world that i represent the people of my town in parliment if not only have they never met me, i have never so much as asked one single towns person anything?
if i don't even know how many people live in my town?
