currently i'm experiencing, for the first time, the ability to make and form opinions on my own but i'm having trouble.
with no one to tell me what to do and what to think, i find there are so many places in the world that need help.
and even if i decided to follow something and make a difference in that area, what can i do to really make a difference?

I'm confronted by the thought that I'm just one person and I don't have any power. No money and no fame and no influence.
Can one person change the world? Can one person change the world by just existing in it? How do you choose which battles to fight and which to let someone else take care of?
Is it wrong for me to acknowledge and say that I'm too busy? Is it wrong to take time for yourself and not give it to some cause? Where do you draw the line between your comfort and the comfort of others? Does giving comfort to others mean that I loose some of my own? Is that question selfish?

im not sure if i was married to a psycho or not and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with their ex.
weve been divorced for 2-1/2 years and have had our ups and downs.
because shes a diehard jw and doesnt have grounds to get re-married i get an ear full from her blah...blah.. anyway, one minute shes like "its terrible that i have to wait for you to get married before i can" and then this past weekend she calls me to talk.
I don't think it's a matter of being completely psycho. We're just psycho sometimes. I know that right now I'm going through a psycho time period. But what's great is that I know approximately when it will end. Until then I just have to keep a handle on it and try not to go nuts too much. It's really hard trying to control yourself when you have no controls to use. I don't know if ya'll have caught my drift yet...but it's that time of the month and I feel snappy at everyone and then sad and just want lots of hugs. It's the little stuff that sends me off into rage and yelling. Small differences or preferences. GRRR. And here's some news for you, I DON'T LIKE BEING A PHYSCO. It's annoying and unpredictable.
My mother has recommended the book "Red Tent" for me to read but I have to wait until I can find it. I believe it talks about women in and how they were sent out of the city to deal with their menstruation away from civilization. I WISH! I wish I could get away (and I'm sure there are a few other people who would like me to go away too).

for some, i know the blood-issue is a touchy subject, but it's interesting to know it.

I d ont know what kind of blood type I have but when I was visiting my host family kept asking me if I knew my blood type. I asked them why and they said "just in case I get in an accident". I later came to find out that the Japanese have a superstition that your blood type dictates your personality (kind of like your birth year on the Chinese calendar or astrology sign).
