here's what will happen to jehovah's witnesses as they roll right past 2014: they will become increasingly like the religious group that influenced charles russell: the christadelphians who started around 1830-1840 and who have many basic doctrines in common with the witnesses.
the christadelphians were once an outspoken, vibrant, edgy "christian" group who spread their urgent end-times message far and wide.
they grew exponetially in the latter half of the nineteenth century, but their heyday is long past.
I guess the Watchtower organization is currently on the right track. Denying study article Watchtowers to non-members is a step in the right direction as to being a bona-fide cultic group.
They are trying to keep the b/s under their control, it is becoming very cultish, and their having this secret little wt studies makes the members even more special and they are intigued
way, way back in 1962, when i was four years old and my family relocated from harlem to queens, ny, our tuesday night book study, as it used to be called way back when almost universally in jw land, was conducted by a woman !!
please don't think i don't remember correctly because of my young age at the time, but the sis.
who conducted it is still alive, and i practically know her whole family.

Yes no doubt. But she may tell you that you are unbalanced and not to take things so literal. She may even site the scripture that says you are not providing for her. Sounds like you cant' win.

How can the society wreck peoples hopes and lifes by their crazy prophecies of dates, then take no blame when they fail to come true and then treat the b/s like half wits and blame them.
i've been reading the thread about posters you miss hearing from.
some of you sound like you've invested a lot of "heart" in developing a raport with certain posters over a long period of time only to find suddenly they stop posting and your "friendship" has disappeared overnight.
you miss them and wonder what happened to them.. how is that any different from what we experienced when our "friends" at the kh stopped calling or coming by.
the loss of jws is a knife to the gut because they cut us out of their lives.. we are not welcome in their doors..
Don't have to be not associated any longer to be welcomed at their doors, many are like that even when we still in their so called good standing. The have cliques and the most vunerable the old, lonely, sick, depressed, weak and the poor are ignored, this is one thing that I can't give them an excuse for and when they say they are imperfect I could scream. So many so called wordly people or disfellowshiped inactive give a far better witness of love than many of these so called Christian friends.

Had an anointed sister conduct bible study in her lounge room because the brother never showed up at the hall, so seven sisters and a unbaptized young brother went to her place, she put a hate on and of we went.
i have to give a talk on "evidence that gods kingdom is a reality".
how the heck am i going to write and give this talk???

We have one sister that relishes canceled talkes, she volunteers for all of them but makes a point of asking why don't you vulunteer. Goes out witnessing and abuses you at the doors.

seems silly that they don't post an email address on the website, what they don't want people bugging them?

There's no email contact. There computer system would probably get overloaded with the amount of hate mail, and some nutter in the org, asking how much sugar they should put in their tea, or is ok to wear thongs to the shop, whatever.
