as a good dub i never used any four letter words (i just thought them).
its not that way anymore.
if you no longer consider yourselve a witness do you swear, curse.
I was watching Chris Rock the other day and boy doesn't he just add a whole new meaning to words!!!!! side splitting
...and it's looking like they're going to need a lot of help.. .

for those interesting in helping immediately, simply text "haiti" to "90999" and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the red cross to help with relief efforts, charged to your cell phone bill.. .

I don't mind parting with the cash - its just that I want it to work reasonably well as I need to be more handsfree than I am now.

I can understand why it would need a quiet setting but I don't have much time and patience. I wonder if the newer versions are more efficient?
one of the themes i think about every now and again is that of the nature of belief, the purpose of religion, and the presense of truth.. specifically, do the differences between spiritual beliefs really matter?
meaning that, if every religion is just an amalgamation of different combinations of mysticisms, does it really matter if we are protestants, catholics, quakers, mormons, muslims, pagans, jews, or even jehovah's witnesses?
further, does it really matter whether we believe in god or not?
the way I see it, the differences between spiritual beliefs help us to see the amazing gifts thinking subjects have and show how we demonstate the ability to commit to all kinds of paths. This reminds me of Paul's words at 1Cor 13:11
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. |
Along with putting away childish things we also have ability to recapture being able to see as a child, indeed to see as an infant sees. And how does an infant see? Well they are always observing - they observe their parents, they observe the world around them and they try out different ways of doing things both imaginatively and physically and then they commit to the one that seems to work best in harmony with what is expected. This gives a sense of achievement and happiness through trial and error. But the important point is that there is this ground zero - a wonderful place, an amazing faculty we can leave idle or use. This to me is where spirituality resides and it involves quite a lot of positive self deceit in the form of role playing imaginatively and in reality - and this a gift of love and does matter imo

my dad woke up about 3 years ago and said nothing.
my sister woke up about a year ago.
my mom about a month ago, myself shortly after.
Hi torn in two
nice to know you. I'm so glad you have your mum, dad and sis on your side. But some issues you have to face yourself. Your confusion and fear are healthy signs that you are thinking for yourself and exploring - this is what makes life truly worthwhile.
welcome to JWN

most congregations in this area had no meeting last thursday,.
they have now cancelled tomorrows meetings .
perhaps snow is worse than the internet!.
Jehovah must have heard our complaining - all the main areas have been noisily cleared of snow and ice over here. Hopefully he will also stop up the heavenly snow vaults for a short while so that we can get back to normal

there is a lot of talk regarding liabilites on the news this morning. For instance local councils are saying that it is not part of their job to clear ice and snow from pavements and if we take matters into our own hands and clear them ourselves we could be sued if an accident occurs.
Also if this is the case then most KHs ought to cancel their meetings out of love for the brothers. There is lots black ice and hardpacked snow on pavements. An elder went out in the ministry yesterday and had a bad fall on an icy pavement!
