Maybe if I stopped wearing this ...
on my suit coat, things might change
these days my jw past stay safely under wraps from nearly everyone.. i dont dig it up- and i see no need to talk about it with anyone.. sometimes i feel as if my past is a large and terrible secret, and i will be found out eventually.
people can sense i am different.
i never talk about my family.. i guess people chalk it up to being a private person or let me be a mystery.. however, there is one thing that i feel completely reveals me as having been raised a jehovahs witness:.
Maybe if I stopped wearing this ...
on my suit coat, things might change
what i posted on facebook i'll share here too:.

the community garden group elected me "compost captain" in absentia.

It was a 'New Yaughts" sort of day !!!
how do you guys feel about someone who gets an idea in his head that we want to hear the same phrase, often a nonsensical one, repeated in a dozen or more threads which may not have anything to do with the phrase in question?
it seems to me that we already have a rule, #5, about this..
just once after serena williams says "thanks to jehovah god" i would love to hear the commentator ask her "when's the last time you've been out in field service or attended a meeting"?.
.
Freedom for religion or freedom from religion which seems fairest to you ?

By your argument, then, god is also the only person who is responsible
In my comments I also mentioned this... Is it wrong to give credit to a high school teacher for your developed abilities
thus I fail to see your logic
victims of God or circumstance ?
I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all.
Coping strength is all that God promises until the final outworking of things

It’s a great day to be great. To God be the Glory.” – Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers
Christians believe God to be the giver of all talents and gifts . We have to put the work in to be great, but God blesses us with the ability. He blesses us with opportunity
Is it wrong to give credit to a high school teacher for your developed abilities ? You may done the work but they may have instilled
drive and spirit of learning that you now benefit from greatly.
Appreciation and thankfulness are postive qualities .. to believe these poeple are simply praying for a win is missing the point IMO
Society is too caught up in “not offending anyone.”.. if in the moment of your greatest victory you can still look past yourself and show gratitude
to your source of strength of whose concern should this be ?
Which man is most appealing to you ?
i recently broke up with my girlfriend of four years.. she is 40 years old, with health problems, financial problems, little family/friend support, and facing an uncertain future.
i gave her some money.. the guilt i am experiencing right now is absolutely anguishing.
she had very, very high hopes about our relationship and loved me very deeply.
I applaud you for sharing your feelings so honestly. sharing your feelings I beleive should not here seen as bashing your former lover... just processing in a reasonably safe place...... a human need.
Not GOING THROUGH YOUR BREAKUP ALONE. FACT: Most people don't process their breakup in a healthy way. We stuff negative or uncomfortable feelings down until they manifest in other ways (headaches, illness, depression, acting out)...
We isolate ourselves because we feel that no one can possibly understand what we're going through...
We self-medicate with food, alcohol, shopping (more likely a women here hee hee hee ....sorry ) or worse...
(take care of yourself the same way you would take care of a loved one who is hurting... gently, with love, compassion and respect.)
The truth is, going through a devastating breakup or divorce is much like grieving a death. It takes time - and some help - to get over a loss like this.
FACT: If you don't deal with your breakup properly, you are doomed to repeat your past mistakes
The silver lining of your breakup is that it can teach you many valuable lessons about yourself...if you're open to learning from it. But if you're in a
hurry to just get over your breakup without processing it in a healthy way, not only will you miss out on those enlightening lessons, but you will
most certainly create similar unhealthy circumstances in your future relationships

You are directing your pain and frustration in a constructive way... and appear to be brutally honest with yourself
I hope for the best good buddy !!!
