Should Prostitution Be Legalized???

recently, in the news were reports of 90 plus year old men being arrested for soliciting prostitutes.

i believe the charges were dropped.

and the vast majority of people polled thought that police should worry less about prostitutes and johns and more about city government waste.. your thoughts?.

making easy money by doing something enjoyable robs, perhaps very slowly, and so without realization, the prostitute of their character and "soul", their dignity, their right to be loved for who they are rather than what they will do for money.

Just like smoking ,government has not yet band smoking but many steps have been taken steps to

protect society from it's ill effects. On the point about prositution being "easy money ".. I once used that

term and a lady jumped on that point telling me heatedly in no uncetain terms that prostituion not" easy money"

the toll in health, emotionally , relationship wise is very high !

It's a loaded Q, as we all know. Answer incorrectly and you are DAing yourself in front of 2 witnesses. ...(Passwordprotected )

If you've faded, and you get asked the "Loyalty" question, and you answer in the negative, then you're automatically Disassociated.

trying to find fault with Jesus.. would you choose to follow their example ?

When you ask do I wish to be known as a JW why do I get the feeling it more about what you wish for ?

I thought it would be higher. I think there was another site that said it was like 85%, which seems more accurate to me, didn't have college education.

It's only my limited observation that the above quote would be more accurate 15% college...

40% of JW's having college education seems very generous to me !

prior to the "passing inspection" by christ , the international bible students:had no prohibition against birthdayshad no prohibitions against holidays such as christmasbelieved that all true christians went to heavenhad no prohibition to participating in governmenthad no prohibition against votinghad no prohibition against joining the military.

christadelphians had, at least for half a century before the watchtower, prohibited birthdays, "pagan holidays", government involvement, voting, participating in war and joining the military.

they also taught that true christians would not go to heaven but will inhabit a paradise on earth.. rutherford eventually instituted all these teachings.

A very revealing post whether or not you believe about the Faithful slave choosing or even other

area's which might disqualify them (Christadelphians ) this is clearly good ammunition to show JW's.

I think they say that it was clearly evident that they only could have qualified !

My Story - Part 4

part 1. part 2. part 3. i submitted my regular pioneer application in late 1993 so that i could officially begin on january 1st.

i knew that my application would get the rubber stamp of approval from the service committee since i had never been involved in any conduct that would prevent my appointment.. i was however slightly rebellious throughout my teens; but it was what i would refer to as a "watchtower rebelliousness".

you see, i believe that there are two forms of rebelliousness among jw youth.

Thank you very much for posting your life phase stories.. however I must confess that in today's instant epitomized news story a person gets lazy and wants quick snappy answers. But in taking time to read and ponder such stories as your own, you realize the details are what helps a

person to see the years of manipulation .What is it that prevents one from entering the waters

of critical thinking ? Early life is love and trust of your parents...teenage years turns more to

fear of punishment , loss of Friends, young adult fear of the evils of the world,then fear for your

children in this evil world. Older yet is the fear of loss of all your network of friends or fear that

all your sacrifices for God (WT) may have been in vain(all above is beyond fear to phobia)

The other side of the coin is apparent rewards , respect and satisfaction having lived a godly

life of self-sacrifice.The more time and effort of years given causes us to reject doubt simply

because it become too devastating to consider ! All ones faith is tied to organization....

faith in God cannot be seen apart from organization. You"ve just" put all your eggs in one basket"

the safest course would seem to turn a blind eye to doubt.. create self-deception .

What you have help me see is the stages and manipulation by means of WT publications that

produce compliance and obedience in varying stages of life . Anything of self is suppressed as

evil and selfish......

as Tijkmo (Ian ) says in one of his beautiful songs...

All are pride and dignity becomes inseparable from Wt communal goals .

you cannot and must not for a life time suppress your individual talents

and internal flowing or spirit of who you are as an individual

But of all the fear or phobias what is the ultimate one to which we must come to face ?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that frightens us. Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
