  can anyone save me the stress of listening to the self-appointed faithful & discreet slave for 3 hours, and give a clue as to roughly at what point in the proceedings was the derogatory term 'bum witnesses used, and by whom?

  i'd really love to extract that comment and send it to a weakening witness, to highlight the judgmental arrogance and name-calling being displayed.. many thanks in advance folks!.

  i am the wife of a selfish jw, most everything is anti-climatic, no romance, no happy endings and he never has asked me how i enjoyed it.

  the biggest waste of time since last monday when we had a twenty second quickie!

  GB's wish is for Warwick to be completed 3 years from this summer. The shortage of workers has moved the GB to even accept 50+ year old JW's

  or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that jesus christ is in youunless indeed you [a]fail the test?.

  at the annual meeting, one of the gb said that this scripture does not mean to test the "religion" you are in is the right one.

  would certainly imply personal analitical testing, examination of one's denomination teachings, or history, or conduct

  as it influences ones relationship to Jesus Christ

  One of the striking things about new Christians is that they invariably begin to manifest a totally different attitude toward things they once thought were appropriate. In some of the more blatant forms of evil, such as attitudes about lying or drunkenness or stealing, they find immediately that their attitude is changed.

  You may be asking, How can I know that? The answer is found in several places in Scripture. For instance, Scripture speaks of an inner witness. In Romans Paul says, The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children (Romans 8:16).

  There had to be outer caution & testing too , involving others , within the congregation ,else scriptures like these would not appear..

  breakup guilt

  i recently broke up with my girlfriend of four years.. she is 40 years old, with health problems, financial problems, little family/friend support, and facing an uncertain future.

  i gave her some money.. the guilt i am experiencing right now is absolutely anguishing.

  she had very, very high hopes about our relationship and loved me very deeply.

  Attachment is our way of relating & wishing to share ourself in a relationship

  interdependence...healthy relationships, high self-esteem, high regard of others,....
  
  co-dependence...very dependent on others, low self-esteem

  or inward desire to be totally unattached... which would appear to be a noble choice as long as you also chose not to use or hurt others

  independence, disregard of others and of affection, high regard of self... in which case mere outward appearance of attachment

  could lead to sociopathic behavoir

  "A sociopath is often well liked because of their charm and high charisma, but they do not usually care about other people. They think mainly of themselves and often blame others for the things that they do. They have a complete disregard for rules and lie constantly. They seldom feel guilt or learn from punishments."

  It is unfortunate that unequal relationships result in hurt to one or both partners. ( even with an honest , caring beginnings of things )..

  not having the right knowledge and tools to begin with !!!... in which case honest intent alone , in time will not prove to be enough

  it became clearly evident from a 20 year study that found these three primary requirements for a sucessful long term relationship must exist

  1) knowing the person well first

  2) good life skills present in both parties

  3) good communication skills ( without points 1&2 communication will prove of little value...for the most part)
