Anyone else called an apostate for knowing the new info early?

this is so funny because this change directly affects how the local elders were screwing me over.

My Mom had mentioned they heard rumors in their town that bookstudy was being completely eliminated. I told her I heard it was being consolidated - this is last week. Today when the announcement was read (she is up north 300 miles from here) she emails me totally freaking out how I know all this stuff ahead of time, all the time and upset how it's always right. She's p.o.'d that I always seem to find out this confidential information first and that it's right - even though she already knew something about it.
Our elders though announced last Sunday that there would be a big announcement this week (they wern't suppossed to do that) and they mentioned it at bookstudy yesterday as well. Not as bad as in my Father in Law's congregation, they read the wrong letter at the bookstudy. They were to read the letter with convention reminders 3 times (Sunday, service meeting, and bookstudy) and instead of reading that one the PO read the letter about the bookstudy arrangement. This was on Tuesday the 22nd.Then I guess there PO called everyone in the group and said that he read the wrong letter and not to tell anyone cuz no one is to know!

TO BE READ AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE WATCHTOWER STUDY OF THE WEEK OF APRIL 21 - 27, 2008 FROM THE GOVERNING BODY OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES
To All Congregations:
Dear Brothers,
At 1 st Corinthians 7:31 the bible tells us that “the scene of this world is changing.” The truthfulness of these inspired words is felt by each of us on a daily basis. As we draw ever nearer to the Great Tribulation Satan’s anger against us is intensifying.
The Governing Body is fully aware of the mounting pressures that YOU, the Lord’s precious sheep, are experiencing. Like the first century Governing Body we wish to add no further burden to you, except what is necessary. Therefore, after prayerful consideration we have decided to take steps to lighten your load by adjusting the weekly schedule for congregation meetings.
Commencing January 1, 2009 the Congregation Book Study will be held at the same time as the Theocratic Ministry School and the Service Meeting. The name of the Congregation Book Study will be changed to the Congregation Bible Study. After a song and prayer the Congregation Bible Study will be conducted for 25 minutes in much the same way as it is conducted now. Qualified elders will conduct the study on a rotation basis. It will be followed by a 30 minute Theocratic Ministry School. After another song there will be a 35 minute Service Meeting. The three meetings will conclude with song and prayer. The total time for these three meetings including songs and prayers will be 1 hour and 45 minutes.
We will continue to follow the same patterns for meetings for field service including arrangements in smaller groups. In time you will receive further information relative to the Congregation Bible Study and meetings for field service.
This adjustment in our weekly meeting schedule will be beneficial in many ways. For example, in many lands the cost of fuel is escalating, and much time is expended in travelling to and from congregation meetings. However, there will be even greater benefit!
The importance of personal and family bible study cannot be overemphasized. This adjustment in our weekly schedule will provide each of us with an opportunity to fortify the spirituality of our families by scheduling a specific evening each week for family worship. Family heads must shoulder the responsibility before Jehovah to ensure that a meaningful, regular, family bible study is conducted. Single brothers and sisters with no family responsibilities will be able to use this time for personal bible study.
It is vital for all to buy out the opportune time and to strengthen themselves for what will shortly take place. The “great day of Jehovah” is fast approaching. How urgent it is for all of us to seize and use the time remaining to build ourselves up in this most holy faith! May we be determined to benefit from these adjustments as we continue to follow our Great Shepherd who leads us to grassy pastures of peace and refreshment. We send along an expression of our warm Christian love, praying that Jehovah will continue to watch over you and strengthen you in these difficult times.

At our service meeting last night they had a short meeting with the elders and ministerial servants after the meeting. The PO proceeded to read the letter to all the MS and Elders to inform them of the Sunday announcement. How is that for not waiting until Sunday?

It will help them keep better control on the book study too. Likely they will choose a hardcore conductor that is known for strictly sticking to the material, not introducing outside material or views, and good about covering it all. The bookstudy overseer we have now whips through the lesson in about 30-45 minutes, rarely mentions to look up a scripture, never points to auxilary information like in teaching boxes etc.
This way if the bs conductor was like that they could put a quick stop to it, or replace him with someone who better meets their standards.

Security measures regarding the "big announcement" 4/27
by sir82 inper our po, real "cloak and dagger" stuff.... he received a "highly confidential" letter from the society last week, instructing him to .
1) read the letter.
2) tell no one else about it until 4/27...specifically told not to announce to the congregation "there will be a big announcement next week".

Our WT study conductor today particularly made the point that "all will want to be in attendance next week for a very special important announcement from the governing body. But don't ask us what it is because we don't know either."
Sounds like cong's weren't even to advise the pubs that there would be a special announcement, probably the reason they're having it read on Sunday when there is a bigger chance more people would be there.

Anyone heard if they will read the paragraphs in that 25 minute book study or if it will just have the paragraphs covered in order to get through the material faster? If all the paragraphs were read it seems that they could only get through a subheading or two each week and it would take a long time to cover a book.
Perhaps this idea has been in the works for awhile at Brooklyn though because if you look at the book "Come Be My Follower" there are many more subheadings in that book, so it makes it easier to split up the chapter every few paragraphs, for a shorter study like this. That may have been planned in the writing of that book.

I think they could have a schedule something like this. I saw on another post the book study will be 25 minutes, school 30 minutes, and service meeting 35 minutes with a total meeting time of 1hr 45 min with songs and prayer. This could be a sample schedule:
Song Prayer - 5 Minutes
Congregation Book Study - 25 Minutes
Instruction Talk- 5 Minutes
Bible Highlights w/comments - 8 Minutes
Talk 2 - 4 Minutes
Talk 3 - 5 Minutes
Talk 4 - 5 Minutes

My guess is in January 2009. Revelation book is ending soon in the book studies. The KM already said next we're doing "Live With Jehvovah's Day In Mind". They could finish that up in 6 months easy by January. The reason I say likely January 2009 is because the TMS schedule is already complete for this year (in October 07 KM). Usually these announcements are made with some time to adjust and for everyone to be in anticipation of the change that is coming. Based on changes in the past (Awake to once a month, WT changes both happened at beginning of year, TMS changes in 2003 happened at beginning of year...) it doesn't appear they would implement this immediately.
If they do it would be different than the norm and there would have to be some big impetus to make such changes immediately in the middle of the year.
