  I enjoy Mike & Kim's videos. Everyone has a story to tell and I'm glad we don't all tell it the same way. What comes across as jibberish to some may be comforting to others.

  Regarding the donation arrangement, it's good to hear that some JWs are seeing this for racket it is. All the JWs I know think its a sign that we are even closer to the end.

  COBE cannot be 80 or more

  a new letter no longer allows an elder to be cobe if hes 80 or more.

  The change is understandable. The person will still be an elder just not the Coordinator.

  Eighty does not show up the same in everyone and for most people its can be a delicate age.

  Do any of you get scared when there's a major storm/occurence?

  i never used to care for storms or anything like that but ever since i learned about jwism, i would get scared everytime there's a big storm.....does this happen to any of you?

  if so, how did you deal with it?

  During big rainstorms, as a kid I used to think "This is it. Here it comes!!!"...and it never did. Now I really enjoy a good thunderstorm.

  As for major occurrences, I did hope 9/11 was the start of the big 'A' although I knew it wasn't.

  "The end will come when you least expect it"

  ok, so didnt jesus supposedly say "the end will come when you least expect it"?

  (or words to that effect...).

  so, with so many witnesses running around in an excited way talking about "100 years since the kingdom...etc" and "it may be our last chance to pioneer etc"..."may be the last international conventions".....doesnt this mean then that the end can not come now??!!.

  They are all in a tizzy about it. If something big doesn't happen this fall, I foresee an increase in the number of faders and faded. The JWs are setting themselves up for a big let down.

  I'm thinking their will be an announcement related to one or more of the following this fall:

  1. Reduction in hourly requirement for pioneering.

  2. Change in viewpoint related to birthdays.

  3. Inactivity as a cause for disassociation.

  4. Another stinging campaign (remember the campaign two years ago that was suppose the trigger the great tribulation )

  Nothing about that looked fun but I can how it would seem adventurous for kids. Stamp that video with the name of another religion and JW's would scream CULT!

  The CO visit this week he says" In August..."

  up until 5 years ago, the co used to work up their own parts for specfic congregations in their circuits.

  everything is up to script, in other words, every co in the country are givings the same talks in the local congregations they visit.

  what got me to cringe is when he said at the meeting, trying to encourage everyone to pioneer this august; he said :" you know this october it will be 100 years since gods kingdom began ruling, remember what happen when joshua told the israelites to march around jericho on the seventh day, and what happened when they let out a great war cry?

  You all are very funny. I have family in the circuit work and supposedly this is it in October! Good-bye 'system of things'.

  My response when they called to inform me: "oh yeah, that will be quite an event to see. So are how are the plans coming for your trip in December?"

  Without skipping a beat they went right into happily talking about their trip that is planned to occur after the world is supposed to end.
