The WTS will always focus attention on everyone else, but forgeting its own double standards. The guys that write this stuff must realise that it is in fact the WTS that is hanging its self with their own words.

I have been a Jehovah's Witness for 20 years and I have just read the comments regarding your programme. I am repelled that you are irresponsible enough to put out a programme that is obviously one-sided and will have an deep impact on the lives of many Jehovah's Witnesses who are law-abiding citizens and abhor the acts of paedophiles. If this leads to any vigilantism then I hope you are prepared to take the responsibility for the safety of innocent people.

PontypriddAs one of Jehovah's witnesses it is with both a mixture of sadness and anger that I write to you. I think it is almost deplorable the way you have misconstrued our beliefs into this little section of do's and don'ts, when in actual fact we are nothing like that. We all have our own personal reasons for being one of Jehovah's witnesses and we respect the decisions that are made by the "body" of elders in our own congregation. If we so desire we can take blood, but at our own risk. When we make our Dedication to Jehovah (not to the organisation, there are no forms to sign), we pledge to do as He asks of us, to the best of our ability. That means following the laws he has set, ie the not taking of blood. If you want to be part of anything, a country or a team of some sort then you surely have to respect the rules as laid out to you in the beginning, or is that to logical? Is it to much to ask of people today? It seems so, as most of us don't bother following simple traffic laws either! Also I think it would be beneficial to you if someone came to one of our meetings, and had a chat with a couple of us, as it seems your info came from this Bill guy, and it is plainly obvious even to the casual observer that he has negative attitude to us now. Therefore your supposedly "factual" programmes will now lose whatever credibility they may have once enjoyed, because of your "let's ask any old Joe for info". Your idea also that we only use certain scriptures from the bible, that we have specifically chosen, is also wrong. It takes our beliefs totally out of context. We use the entire bible to get an answer for a question, and sometimes we have to make up our own minds on matters, according to our "Bible-trained conscience". We are reminded that we are "no part of this world" (John 17v16, John18v36, James4v4, John15v17-19,), and that is the reason we don't salute flags and join the army, or sign the national anthem. We know that there is no hope for us when we look to this worlds rulers, it is plain and obvious even to a blind man, that men through the centuries have gotten it wrong. So when God does come to reclaim what is rightfully his, (the earth, and all those on it that want to serve and worship him with love and truth) then hopefully we will be counted as such. We have a better chance of doing so if we are following the rules, so to speak. On the subject of child molestation I won't comment as I am not an elder and therefore it is not for me to do so as I don't have all the facts, but to be honest with you, I really don't want too. If I dwelt constantly on the negatives in life then I would probably end up mad. To gain more information then please do come to one of our meetings, any and all that read this, just so that you can get the correct information for yourselves. Indeed that is the reason we go from door-to-door, to tell people the "good news", and to find out if they want a better future. I mean, don't we all? We don't go out to proselytise, or to convert, it is a personal choice if people want to join us. And just as you reserve the right to edit this letter (please don't though), then we also reserve the right to remove those who don't respect the rules. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you have any questions, then don't hesitate to ask. If you would like a copy of the Quoted Awake magazine then ask.
A concerned Jehovah's Witness, Justin Palmer

Even though I hav'nt been to a meeting for 2 years and completly hate the WTS, I too was saddened and tearfull when listening to the accounts of abuse and in the knowledge that I thought so much of the WTS. It is so shocking and disgusting that this society has ruled so many lives and to the so called governing body I hope they realise what they have done. They are blood guilty and have ruined so many lives they are accountable to millions and should be shown up for what they are stupid old men.

Words can not describe the impact of the program, it was to the point highlighted the plight of the poor innocent victims of the rules and regulations that the society abide by. And the governing body member that was confronted by the reporter!!!! Well what a complete idiot he looked, he didnt make any sense at all.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians who believe the teachings of the Bible, using their own translation.
Their beliefs differ from mainstream Christian religions in various areas.
They do not celebrate Christmas or Easter, but do remember Christ's death.
They believe Jesus Christ was not crucified on a cross but rather on a stake. Therefore the symbol of the cross is not significant.
The end of the world
Jehovah's Witnesses believe they will survive Armageddon, the end of the world, and go on to live on a paradise on earth.
The imminent end of the world has always been a crucial part of their beliefs.
As early as 1876 Charles Taze Russell, the founder of the religion, wrote an article in which he gave the date for the end of the world as 1914.
The end of the world was proclaimed again by Judge Rutherford, the next president of Watchtower in 1935, in a talk given years earlier, "Millions Now Living Will Never Die", on the belief that God would bring the end to the world at that time.
Rutherford built a mansion in California and titled it to the ones to be resurrected after the believed end in 1935.
When the end did not occur it was quietly sold after his death.
Another date for the end of the world, announced widely in the organisation's publications, was 1975. Many Jehovah's Witnesses sold their homes and gave up their jobs to go witnessing door-to-door full time.
The organisation no longer gives a specific date for the end for the end of the world but strongly emphasises that it is due soon.
They believe there are only 144,000 who will go to heaven as rulers.
Blood
Jehovah's Witnesses believe taking blood into the body through the mouth or veins violates God's law. Those who do so can be expelled.
In Genesis 9, humans are told they can eat any flesh except that which still has its soul, or its blood, in it. Also in the books of Leviticus, Deuteronomy, First Samuel and Acts 15 are texts which the Jehovah's Witnesses claim point to the Bible's disapproval of the consumption of blood.
This policy extends to disallowing blood transfusions, even those which involve a person's own blood.
Over the years the organisation has softened its attitude somewhat and no longer condemns organ transplants or the infusion of blood products.
Despite still banning transfusions of a person's own blood which has been earlier removed and stored, they do allow blood which is lost during an operation to be collected, cleaned and returned to the body in a process called blood salvaging.
This policy of refusing blood transfusions has been very controversial and sometimes brought the Jehovah's Witnesses into conflict with medical and legal authorities.
It has been estimated close to 1000 Jehovah's Witness children die each year due to this policy.
