i have a very xjw type problem, i am invited to my cousin's 70th birthday party, and really don't know what to buy him.. i only met him a couple of months ago, as my jw parents never encouraged the non-jw side of the family, so i don't know much about him, except that he is retired and his hobby is sailing his boat.. i don't have contact details for his kids etc to ask them for ideas, so could you come up with something please ?
not too extravagant, i am a poor pensioner !
but, it is his 70th.. thanks in advance for any tips !.

https://themoscowtimes.com/news/russians-want-jehovas-witnesses-banned-poll-58382.
many russians don’t know the jehovah’s witnesses, but they still want them banned.

With the banning decision, It's obvious that Russia’s Supreme Court was hacked by the Americans.....or was it the Russians...
i was at a mall trying on shoes and this old man is in a wheelchair near me.
says how he thought those shoes were sharp and he had never worn brown shoes before and that he is 104 years old.
i said no way and asked what year he was born.
Never mind about a 146 year old Indonesian man....
that ain't nothing ....
and how about a 2000 year old overlapping generation...?....
i'm fairly new on here and i've told a lot of my story but to recap, after 60 odd years i've stopped going to the meetings.
my husband had already left the truth years ago and my children didn't become jws.(phew!).
i had a horrendous childhood growing up as a witness which included sexual assault by a close relative, also a jw.
the watchtower has held for many years that jesus died on a stake and held strongly to this teaching.
w 1951 3/15 the above agrees with the new world translation of the christian greek scriptures in its appendix, page 769, in saying that the instrument upon which jesus was nailed was a stake without a crossbeam, and not the religiously represented “cross”; and that the greek word used for that instrument in ancient time meant a “stake” and not the conventional religious cross.
they are no longer certain on this point.
Well no matter how they word it,
everyone knows it was an 'overlapping torture stake'
There, problem solved,....everybody wins.
i remember about 5 years ago reading on another site about subliminal images in wt literature.
i honestly thought it a load of bs until i checked out one glaringly obvious image of a creepy skull in clouds within the knowledge book.
i was shocked and even showed my wife at the time who thought it was creepy.. so my question is why?
And I found this one ...
NOT in a Watchtower publication,..
but it sure looks like Rutherford .....

Some images seem to be a lot more of a deliberate insertion to me,...
but as to the end game of doing it , ???
Watchtower May 1st 1983 on page 17
why put a face in the dress....
so i am driving with my oldest the other day and she says..... i was reading the watchtower at the meeting and thought.... "the watchtower and awake are just like... what is that stuff that countries put out when they are at war?...
propaganda... yeah, they only give you one side of something and you have to listen to them because they are chosen".
i praised allah right then and there!!!
