A good study; only one minor issue. You may want to make it clearer at the beginning that you are using the Hebrew word for blood in your illustrations/graphs. It wasn't until a page or two later that I realized that fact - I thought you had missed spelled the word, using the spelling for a construction to hold back water instead of the four-letter condemnation word.

Unique but accurate observation about KHs from a "woldly" person
by Lady Zombie ini was out this weekend with a group of my "worldly" friends.
the majority of them don't know that i'd been a witness in the past, nor did they know that my family still is.. i'm not sure how we got on the subject of religions, but one guy asked, "what's the name of those people who don't have windows in their churches?".
several guesses were thrown out including amish and mennonites but he shook his head.

I fondly remember a hall that was near a small airport. It was great to look out and watch the Sunday flyers in their little Cessna 150s, 172s, with a piper in the mix.

I'm just getting started, but based on reviews I read (can't remember where), I'm currently trying to read Holman's Christian Standard Bible. Not that the reading's hard, I just don't have the habit, yet, of reading regularly. There are some things that bug me, but on the whole it's easy to read. Like the American Standard (I think) that I had as a kid, the intro says Lord GOD indicates Adonai Yahweh. My question - then why not USE Adonai Yahweh?

I am in agreement with the responders here, but I wanted to go somewhat off-topic: The writer of the article could have phrased the opening paragraph better.
"when they are born on religious grounds" sounds like they were planning on giving birth inside a church or other sanctuary. -

Reasons for change in meetings and book study
by JWRESEARCH inthere were already a few topics and posts about the motifs behind the changes, but i think we can unite them all in just one topic.. for a start i will say thar the letter that is going to be read next weekend, says that gb wants to reduce the burden (quotes acts 15:28), and adds that in many countries the gas (petroleum) is at a very high cost for some families.
then it makes a suggestion to use the same day for study at home with family.. of course that the text of hebrew 10:25 is not quoted!
- if we are more close to the end it should be taken the opposite measure!.

I've read JWR's first post on this topic a couple of times, and I how I read it is that this was HIS idea of what and how the announcement would be made. I didn't read to me as though he had inside information, just an opinion.

by oompa incan't everyone just put this one item on their profile before posting.
it seems like most posters have no profile, but this info could help in several ways.
i am just guessing, but it seems like more here were born in.....your thoughts on this?......oompa.

How did you find this site?
by truthseeker init seems as though an age has passed from discovering this site seven years ago to where i am now.
just before we started studying the daniel's prophecy book, i went online to see if anyone had made a study bookmark with the dates and paragraphs on.
i "stumbled" across this site, way back in 2000. of course, like a good christian i pretty much determined that this site had gone apostate from the other jw sites, such.

I was trying to find what publication was released at the assembly I missed (yah, yah, I know). This was the only site that had not only the title, but a pdf of it! I downloaded the pdf, but haven't read it yet - probably never will at this point.
If the 'official' website had had this information, I probably would still be a faded jw, but now I'm an informed faded jw - CofC and everything! -

Thinking of becoming a Witness again and my reasons for doing so :(
by reniaa ini've been a faded jw for 10 years i left because of my failed first marriage, i'm no hypocrite and realised i had left completely so i embraced the world and dived in, only christmas and birthdays i could not get into, they were too foreign to me having never celebrated them, like if i suddenly tried to do ramadan or something like that.. 1/ all the criticisms of the people in the truth you say on here, i've found in the world, warts and all only in the world nothing holds them back from being utterly horrible to you.. 2/ i got stabbed by a worldly boyfriend, i got married 2 times of my own choosing to men outside the truth, the first smoked and was an alcoholic, the second gambled every penny we had and defrauded me out of money after we separated, 2 divorces later i am currently pregnant and a single mum since current boyfriend decided kids was to much of a responsibility and he needed his freedom and i was 'too selfish to expect him to give up his life'.. 3/ parents-in-law!
i have been shunned by them as equal to anything you accuse witness families of and for the silliest of reasons, i had a disabled son and his grandparents said they wanted nothing to do with him because they didn't want to become attached in case he died.. 4/ i miss the honest friendships of the truth, i had friends of all ages from 14 to 80 years old and they genuinely cared for me, many trying to keep me in the faith a long time after i left but i was determined to fade so moved away completely, but i find friendships in the world so shallow in comparison and very hard to sustain :( i've never been a drinker and sometimes thats what friendship means you being a companion for them to goto pub with.. 5/ my recent boyfriend was in a christian religion, i thought why not find out about it, harvest churches if you ever heard of them, unfortunately it still hasn't stop him leaving me pregnant and alone and when i said to him how does he clear that with god, he replies "as long as i repent it doesn't matter" it's like he has a "get out of jail free card" for any wrong-doing in the bible, this is so alien to me and my witness trained conscience.. 6/ i recently out of frustration tried looking into atheism and joined their forums, it wasn't fun, they are as bombastic and arrogant as their religious counterparts can be from any religion, they make a religion out of not believing in god, it's very weird they talk of saving people from believing in god and offer nothing to replace it.
they said to me "be happy you are in reality now and enjoy it" and i thought "well if this is reality i've had enough of it".

If you are still reading, I caught this comment from you a few pages ago: "What really lets down the thought of all christian faiths leads to God is the diversity of what they believe a lot of which simply isn't from bible origin. Does a faith have to be answerable to God if they preach or practise something non-biblical?" You might want to see if that "preach/practise something non-biblical" applies to the Witness, as well.
