  I have been an elder for almost 30 years, presiding overseer, circuit assl. overseer for years, elder’s school teacher, and a lot of other assignements
  - Always been a leader in the area, opening up new congregations

  Please tell us....what was the straw that broke the camel's back? What happened that finally made you realize that it was not God's organization?

  I know this is going to be a long story.

  You have not only a captive audience waiting, but one that can share and understand your hardships like no other group in this world.

  This will be a comfortable place for you to be.

  I am grateful for every new day. I already died once. (medical mistake--od by dr. in er) That made an impact in my life. I know that no matter how bad things get I can never be suicidal. It really made a difference in my priorities in life.

  I am grateful to be able to come here and spend time with all of you.

  I am grateful for the beautiful catepillars eating my plants. I find amazement in the grand design of the creatures on this planet.

  I am grateful that the Creator made this an interesting place filled with beautiful plants and odd creatures to pique my curiosity. Maybe these things help take our mind off the bad things that happen to us.

  I am grateful for my talents and to be able to use them to bring a bit of happiness into the world.

  I am grateful for the hard times...those have made me a survivor and a deeper thinker and caused me to develop a greater compassion for others.

  From what I read lately, South America, particularly Brazil, has shown the largest increase in growth for Wbts. I think that information is specifically targeted to that audience.

  And here, I don't think any of us cares what anyone else looks like. We are all too busy trying to stop the bleeding and bandage the wounds for ourselves and each other. We don't even consider our own broken leg when we instinctively reach out to lift someone else whose been crushed in this wreckage . Aren't there times when you have read so much here, you feel so emotionally drained that you know just how Jesus felt carrying the weight of a heavy wooden cross? Ours is emotional, but its just as heavy. We hurt for one another and its wonderful when we can find something to really make us laugh once in a while. It helps to balance out the pain.

  liars indeed.

  This IS our daily life. Or at least a big part of it. I carry all of you around in my head all the time.

  i have always loved it when the seasons changes.

  i was always told that we would have temerate weather all of the time and the seasons wouldn't chage.

  i always thought i would miss the changing leaves, budding flowers after it has been so cold, and the snow.

  Always the first week of January in north Miss.

  Hey do you remember the 12 foor alligator found in Starkville that had survived years out of its proper environment? It was amazing that it acclimated to the weather so far north. I heard that about the temperate weather...no need for heaters or AC. But I never could buy that. I think there is a purpose for every plant and species to have certain seasonal activities and a geographic location. Part of the problem we have is that things have been moved out of place and acclimated to different environments. This is why we have an imbalance in the insect world and new pests introduced into areas where they never were before...like fire ants and formosa termites. The world has become homogenous. Places that used to be unique have lost their flavor.

  In the paradise, I would miss Wendy's, because all we have to eat is lotsa fruit and leaves. However, I did envision training a pet monkey to climb trees and retrieve coconuts for me...and also banannas...but that might be a power struggle with the banannas.

  Zanex Moving!!!

  well folks...its been a good run in california and all but its time for me to depart...so in like 2 and a half weeks round the 25 th i will be packing my shite in the car and me and my buddy (who quit his job in nm, drove all the way out to cali to get me and is moving with me) adn we are drivin cross country from one coast (cali) to the other...(nyc) im still kind of in shock bout this whole thing but for some strange odd reason it feels right.... im gonna stop in nm briefly to see my traumatized mother, she is still reeling from my fathers untimely demise (course so am i), will be there a day or two before getting back in the car to nyc...my company has transferred me to the manhattan office to work so least i have a job.

  will be staying with one of my buddys friends for a day or so...i have a thot that the company mite just put me up in a hotel for a while til i get settled...so its nyc for me!

  i have a somewhat optimistic outlook stemming from the recent contact with my mother...almost weekly...granted the contact has been strained and it gets very emotional for both of us..her asking me questions that i dont want to answer adn the first time i do she sinks into depression...its been challenging...im still in and out of tears on somewhat of a regular basis...not takin any brain candy tho...now its just my name on this board...(as a reminder more than anything else i suppose) .

  theadvice I was given when I went to visit New York was

  1. Don't look up. Everyone will know you are a tourist. While you are looking up, someone will snatch your purse.

  2. Give written directions to the cab driver and wear big sunglasses, like a celebrity. Don't open your mouth. If they hear a southern accent they will drive you to New Jersey and back, cause they think you won't know the difference.

  3. New York is the only place you can get VD from a toilet seat.

  Good luck. Happy trails. Stay away from Thelma and Louise. And let us know when you land.

  i cannot provide any background info on my dad except to say that he is not an attender anymore, but is not apostate.. years ago, my dad showed me why he thought 1975 was wrong, and he gave me a date like 2011, 2012...back in 2004.. it actually made sense to me back then, and obve's posts reminded me of my dad's calculations..... only my dad's calculations were not based on addition or multiplying of random crazy numbers, .

  but actually were logical assumptions based on the scriptures as he understood them.. here is his email to me...it might be lengthy, but it is easy to follow and understand.

  The CO visited my mom's congregation last night and said that Public Talks will be discontinued

  Are you for real? No "public talks" means........a CLOSED PRIVATE CLUB. They are locking the doors to outsiders! They can now control who is allowed in and who is NOT! Next they will be telling them the "work is finished". The kool-aid party can't be too far away. This sounds like a preparation for something bigger.

  Is this currently being announced to all the KH? Or is this to take place at a certain time in the future? When will this new facet be effective?
