  Is the Governing Body the Only Channel of Communication between God and Men?

  let's take my questions one at a time (since you said i had posted too many on my other thread):.

  * can you please explain to me, using only the bible, why anyone should believe that today's governing body of jehovah's witnesses (or the "faithful slave class" of the jehovah's witnesses), is the "sole channel of communication" between god and men?.

  * in addition, can you explain why we should believe that christ's parable of the "faithful and discreet slave" was predicting a "class" of anointed christians who would give orders to all other christians, instead of simply teaching that faithful christians will be rewarded by christ when he returns?.

  it kind of amazes me though about this GB thingy....i mean how many dubs know them AT ALL!!.......i dont think i ever even met one and sure as hell never knew one....yet what they say is golden (but they dont say it, they write in in anonymity!)....and they rarely even SAY anything to the masses....i mean other cult leaders (russell, rutherford) are at least charismatic in person...or on tv...or dvd...but these guys are pretty much hidden from all except those at bethel maybe...and i doubt they talk much at meals.......strange power they have and only held in place by threat of shunning imo............oompa

  they never say "bracketed 'other' here" when reading bible either......

  so that word is added a few times in colossians and there many other [bracket] words in the nwt as if that makes it okeydokie...yet when these scriptures are read from any platform or stage, the reader never mentions it...so if some poor worldly person at a convention is just listening and not reading a bible...he has just heard a spurious verse....the same is true on all the wt bible readings on tape or cd....imo if you read it spurious...then it is spurious.......just a thought as no good dub would ever admit jws would ever utter such a thing...................................oompa.

  Undisfellowshipped...was that the Reference bible too?...all nwts?......that is a pretty major change and i heard it but do not have one that new...even with brackets not referenced when reading...it is a change........but WITHOUT them......Big bible changes......geeze.........oompa

  I can't take this pain anymore...my life at dead end

  my life has reached to a dead end...i'm stuck and there is no way out.

  i was inactive for 6 years and i'm disfellowshiped for the past 3. i would never think that my life would have been in this terrible mess.. .

  i wasn't planned to be disfellowshiped by my "wife" turned me in to the elders for apostasy 2 times!!!

  i understand monkeymans point and WELCOME to jwn to express yourself monkeyman! ...flipper does not believe you are really an asshole man...you just set him off as most first posters dont ususally offer such a strong opinion maybe?...he is really a teddybear.... but you gotta admit...when someone is hurting as much as justhuman is and has been through so much (and he sure as hell does not SOUND arrogant does he?) 607 was not his ONLY issue either...but for sure he does know for sure as you will if you do enough personal study that it IS a lie and IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE using only the Bible (see there are NO DATES in the Bible for one thing!). Once you study enough issues and conclude it is at the least bullshit, and at most a cult, it becomes impossible to live the lie...to pretend...some can, but i could not either...that is not arrogant, that is self respect and honesty maybe?

  Hell she is the one TELLING HIM everything he can and cant do...including to "come home now"!! Focus on that justhuman...i see her TELLIN ya a lot...and you CAN go to any wedding...but you CAN tell your kids anything you want....and when she said "come home now boy"...that is a good time to say..."ok, but here are my terms"....IT IS YOUR HOUSE TOO!..and i just did that with my hardcore jw wife after a brief separation...but it was long enough to let her know i was serious and my terms were just that i have a right to my own life and friends too...and she better never say another damm thing to anymore elders about me or she would never see me again!!!....she agreed and we are doing better now (i made concessions too btw)

  bottom line is that a marriage (even a one in one out) CAN work...but it does require honest quiet communication, and give and take....all i see is you giving and her taking.......that MUST change or you will wither away....or worse...kill yourself...trust me...i was there once over this crap

  i was going to make a point but purps did it so much better....geeze look what she did with an amazing range of kids ages!!!.......every day there are divorces involving kids of all ages......mine were 7 and 9....they survived!.....and did well and most do...hell you fit in better in school if your folks are divorced...lol. anyway man...i truly fell your pain and hope you can hang out with some of us soon for support...most of us DO understand and you can pm me anytime...we should talk mate................oomps

It is VERY easy to prove that WT has done this with the NWT. If you look in the Insight Book under "jehovah" and go to Use in The Christian Greek scriptures, you will see that FDS acknowledges that (near quote) -"there are no existing ancient copies in the entire world that contain the name Jehovah"!!!! and there are over 10,000 of them...

  it also says under that heading that it used to be there but apostates removed it (from every freakin copy??...satan is damm thorough!)...and if god let satan remove his name, what the hell else has he let satan change???......plus, wt says they only "restored it when it is quoting Hebrew scriptures that used the divine name"...but they DONT tell you they ADDED it dozens of times where there is NO QUOTE from the hebrew scriptures...like everytime it is used in Revelation....(rev 22:18,19 comes in handy there)............oompa

  this is insanity!

  literally four couples that i know closely & personally have told me in the last two weeks that they are divorcing their spouses.

  and there are a couple on here whom i've discovered are separating as well (these two i do not know personally, but i'm a little surprised & saddened regardless).

  i have a really great imagination.

  you have to have one to get through five hours of meetings per week at a young age.

  I can color cooridinate an entire wardrobe...

  i can tie a necktie to the perfect length on the first try

  i can make a mean part in my hair

  i can shine my shoes to a mirror gloss

  i can fit 17 suits into a space made for 8

  i can tell which girls are slutty at conventions

  i can spank it with either hand

  advanced power of concentration...i can totally tune out a speaker...hear nothing...while i take notes (actually write songs/book)

  doesn't it just make you sick to your stomach?.

  dozens of doctrine changes that effect the lives of the rank and file: the fds are only imperfect men and didn't understand the bible truths at the time.. pedophiles that are protected or not reported and allowed to stay in the congregation: these men are imperfect and this sin isn't unique to jws.

  the organisation has it's problems just like any other...they are not perfect after all.. all their prophesies - failed: the fds are only imperfect men and have never claimed to be a prophet.. i am truly sick of this overused excuse.

  yes loubou......it make me sick too.....if you claim to be the ONLY TRUE religion and gods ONLY channel of TRUTH......and you refer to your teaching as THE TRUTH.....then your margin of error in bible predicions had better be ZERO imo....and that is the standard in the bible by the way.......there was never a single time in the bible where god allowed doctrine to be taught as a falsehood....and then later said..."naaa, i was just jokin....here is the REAL truth on that".....
