  What is concept of worship? Why would God want it so bad? I don't get it.

  that pretty much says it all, but i just dont get why god so craves worship.

  what is he really getting out of it???

  but he wants it so much that if he can't get it, he will whack you out forever.. never felt like worshiping god but say thanks for great sunsets.....oompa.

  what if we function best as humans, and are happiest, if we worship or revere something greater outside of ourselves, i.e. God?

  Jambo, be logical. Jehovah would not like what happened at the twin towers, because it was truly done by evil, wicked men. The type he is supposed to whack someday.

  Looking for a little insight for a school project re: BiPolar Disorder.

  i am working on my school assignment and i have a couple of questions regarding helpful activities for individuals with bipolar disorder.

  i don't have any personal experience with the disease, does anyone have any knowledge or family members that have had to live with this?

  i have done some research but i can't find any information that relates to 'daily activities' that may help an individual.

  But seriously I am being treated for this and am on cymbalta, lythium, one that starts with a Z. In two years swiched meds 15 times, and they really werent sure if it was bi-polar, or ADHD, or both.

  i used to think that while they were in some ways controlling, that jw's did not meet the criteria of a cult totally.

  AlltimeJeff, I agree wholeheartedly with your entire post except for one minor detail that I would like yours and other thoughts about. Do we really think the sale of Real Estate Properties are at all linked to payment of sex abuse settlement for only 16 victims? WTS has megga inverstments and cash on hand. Hundreds of millions, if not over a billion by now; I knew one of their chief finiancial officers for many years while he was at Bethel. This particular settlement was chump change!

  Canadian National Average Seems to be Increasing

  our circuit overseer is now using the old sermon again...now, now, brothers and sisters the national average is 10 hours a month.

  Whats the funniest thing you've ever seen happen in the KH?

  i remember being a kid and we didnt have the fancy fabric seats, they were plastic stackable chairs all set out in the usual lines.. an elderly bro, rather rotund, farted, the noise so loud and thundering against the plastic seat!

  or the time when i must have been about 7, my dad brought his bible study family to their first ever meeting, i had to sit on mums knee.

  i recall giving the daughter of the new family a very vigorous v sign during the meeting.

  A basketball buddy of mine, 6'3' was sick nervous giving parts, just could not breath right. His first Sunday talk his breathing started messing up, he grabbed the speaker stand and TOOK IT WITH HIM as he passed out and fell forward off the stage! Almost into the front row. Not hurt bad so hiliarious.

  Unbeliever, I have read all of your first thread on as well and you and your brother sure stepped up to the plate, and well along with child I am sure you did not need the stress. I am curious about your stepdads age and what business he would try that needed so much money as to dry up a perfect retirement house.

  As to this current thread, PLEASE tell us what your mom had to say about moving away, not telling you and your brother, and letting those leeched stay there!!! How could she do this after you guys bailing her out?!?!? This is almost an unbelievable story, but you made it very believable.

  My wife, hot booty33 returned from the ladies room with the entire rear of her skirt stuffed in her panthose and headed down the aisle to the second row from the front. A huge elder dude nearly tackled her and dragged her to the back of the hall.
