I wouldn't worry, that kid already knows he doesn't want to do it. The mom pushing him is going to be his ticket out.

I want him to know I have always loved him as a friend and admired him as a person of integrity.
Just say that, and not a word more....then WAIT.

My wife just told me to move out...
by nolongerconfused inbecause of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.
she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

Not even bothering to read the other responses; this is the straight answer for how to handle your situation:
Tell your wife you aren't going anywhere, that if anyone is leaving it is going to have to be her since leaving is her idea. Then drop it. Go about your business and let her deal with her thoughts.
DO NOT LEAVE.

Have you considered opening your own business? You listed several things that you are good at, plus you have training and experience in advertising. What's stopping you???
As I see it, the only thing holding you back is your persistent reliance on somebody else to do the heavy lifting for you.
DIY, girl!

Has leaving the truth( i hate that word) caused you to do things now that you would not have normally done ?
by sieborg inalthough we all know that there are many disadvantages of being brought up ( vomit sound) in the truth.
but would you say that leaving has maybe caused you to do some things that you would not have normally have done in life ?
for me personally now i have lots of free time ( mine all mine, evil laugh) i have almost finished my first novel.

Yours is a loaded question. "Leaving The Truth" is different than "leaving WT", "leaving Jehovahs's Witnesses", or "leaving an organization". Which one is meant defines how the question is answered...and what readers will take away from the exchange.
"Leaving The Truth" sounds like something the WT would turn into an article, especially if the responses showed any "fall into sin", "worldly pursuits", etc., you know, anything you would not normally have done.
...and that word "normally"...what's "normal", especially in WT society? Did you mean "usually" or maybe "would not have done if you were a faithful JW"?
"Pure Language" and plain English are different. The responses you receive will depend, in large part, on which you use to frame your query. GIGO

Has a wrong disfellowshipping ever been reversed?
by lostnotfound inim not talking about simply being reinstated.
i remember hearing a story about a brother that was disfellowshipped because of the testimony of two false witnesses.
years passed before they admitted to lying about the brother and was reinstated.. what is policy in this sort of situation?

I, too, wondered why there was no apology. The sister had the notion that it was a refining process and since it was permitted by Jehovah there was nothing to apologize for. I think she actually believed it. I sure didn't.

A divorced sister from one congregation married a divorced brother from another congregation. One elder in her hall was not convinced that her future husband was scripturally free to marry, so when he heard through the grapevine that they had gone to Las Vegas and married, he announced that both were DF'd; no JC, nothing.
It took 18 months but finally it was announced that the DF'ings were "rescinded". It was as though they were never DF'd...except for what they, their families, their friends, etc. went through during that time. The elder remained an elder. The sister was convinced that The Truth had won out and never even thought of turning away from The Org. As far as I know, both are still JW's today.
I knew the sister quite well at the time this happened; haven't seen or talked to her in several years.
