612007- Witness Meetings= Why can't women wear pants/trousers??
by Witness 007 inwhen my mum went to her first meeting she was dressed to perfection, she wore nice ladies dress trouser/pants.
the witness stuying with her told her it was "not apropriate" to wear this to the meeting...in 2006 i was in a congregation where a sister would put a skirt on over her pants she wore to work.
it looked weird, but the pants ban still is in force 2007.

What the C.O. said right there on the Platform
by Uncertain inhe started his talk before rev.bookstudy with all the gloom and doom news and then dropped the (to me) bombshell that he reads the news on line.
yup, i could hear an intake of breath through the hall.
i can't for the life of me remember what the rest of his talk was, although he used a box of crayolas as a prop.

Sorry WTS - Higher Ed More Important Than Ever!
by Seeker4 ini'm working on an article tonight from an interview i did last week with jane sanders, the president of burlington college and the wife of us senator bernie sanders.
i was thinking of the wts's comments this summer at the dc where they really bad mouthed the value of a college education.. this is what jane sanders said:.
"the cost of education is very high, and we are one of the only industrialized nations in the world that doesnt give some kind of strong support to higher education, that considers that that is a necessity.

You too can get a college education without the Eldums finding out!
How? Won't there be a decrease in your ministry hours?
NOPE...
Most universities and community colleges offer degrees online. Most courses only require you to go into a testing center once and never is more then an hour!
You don't have to stop with an AS, you can achieve BS and MS, even switch degrees!
But if you are still afraid. I suggest you take a marketing class, that you can count towards improving your FS!

I wear mine all the time.
The local elders know the challenge if they want to discuss it with me
1. find the scripture concerning my outfit.
2. be willing to where the same outfit (in appropriate size) with the same accessories, make-up and heels the following Tuesday all day to work and to the TMS meeting.
I have never had any takers.

Ask for a different assignment.
If hassled tell him that you had conversation with a RH negative mother of two and she challenged you on the subject. After carefully considering her stance, you did not feel that you were spiritually ready to give this talk. Tell him that it appears what she said is medically true. Feeling a little stumbled at the moment you did not want to potentially stumble others while giving this talk. Ask for the other assignment.If pressed tell him that it appears that breastmilk contains White Blood Cells and that women can be transfused with fetal blood during delivery which for some can lead to RH disease.
