these two opportunists (there is no other word) have set race relations in the us back 100 years.

if only they had teamed up to encourage and facilitate education and job opportunities for their constituents as vigorously as they have advocated on behalf of casual and career criminals - we'd have a better outcome for all concerned.

let me amend my previous post

I think all the boys involved and friends of the beaten boy should attend group therapy. As for the young man with 4 previous violent crimes I think a psych evaluation would be good by a child psychologist. But again is sending him away going to effect the greater good. I am not sure as I am unaware of the extent of his crimes. There seems to be problems in this community that have encouraged bad behavior. I would much rather all come out with more sense of brotherhood, to lead upstanding lives, and to pay back society and the court system by attending college, getting a great job, paying taxes, and visiting schools to tell their story. These are boys and they can all still be saved with compassion, and maybe some group community service for the next year. United they can stand, divided they have already fallen.

Here is my ideal resolution. FORGIVENESS.

All the boys in this situation are in the wrong!

I understand the attempted murder charge, 6 vs 1 is a serious matter. But in light that we are dealing with juveniles I think it is not in the best interest of the community at large.

Nooses being hung is unacceptable, meanspirited, and wrong. Expulsion would have been appropriate.

Have the boys and their parents meet and forgive, accept responsiblity for each act. ( I do thing that the parents of the 6 should be responsible for the medical bills)

Overall though at fault is the adults in the community for fostering or allowing intolerance to breed.

Instead of media hounds like Sharpton and Jackson have Bill Clinton come and start the healling.

Have him do a school assembly, with real question and answers. Give the students a voice.

Use this as a platform to bring Jena into the 21st Century

i was reviewing why i can't be baptized.. question # 25: in addition to confessing his own sins, each christian has what responsiblity regarding serious wrongdoing by others that could threaten the spiritual or moral cleaness of the congregation?.

the reference lev 5:1 now in case a soul sins in that he has heard public cursing and he is a witness or he has seen it or has come to know of it, if he does not report it, then he must answer for his error.. are we really under this mosaic law?
