  when is armageddon coming at the moment ?

  when i used to go there was a spoecial campain because it was so close , what happens now is it still any minute now or is there talk along the lines of that it may not happen for quite sometime yet ?

  has anyone ever said at a talk that it may not happen in our lifetime ?

  has anyone who is still in ever heard anyone question it coming very soon, considering the golden oldies must of being saying that all of their lives

  What Did The Witnesses and Christian Science Have In Common ?

  i bought a book entitled "miscellaneous writings 1883-1896" by mary baker eddy.. i was surprised to see the "cross and crown" logo on the cover.. .

  it is almost identical to the logo that the watchtower used in the early days :.

  i didn't realise that this was a common christian symbol in use at the time, i just thought i'd share it.. .

  i posted elsewhere that i decided to contact a non-witness friend i cut ties with because she spoke ill of the society.

  well, through her i was contacted by another former jw friend of mine.

  turns out, we both thought we hated the other person, but turns out it wasn't true on either side.

  i am not a jw but i am really curious to know why are there so many people who criticize and ridicule them?

  please give me some logical answers not personal judgements :p

  For me and many others who criticise the JW Org. is because we have found out that we have been lied to, tricked and suffered much pain by their shunning doctrine which separates family and friends from each other. They are a cult that uses mind control and emotional blackmail to keep members which most are unaware of when they join. Others have been born into it and had their lives totally controlled and when they try to leave they realise what they have given up on because of being a JW. There is much more which you will discover if you stick around.

  Hello, I'm new...

  i just joined this forum today after reading the comments on today's watchtower (which i have to attend in about an hour unfortunately).

  i was raised in "the truth" and it was only recently that i began to listen to a close friend of mine as he pointed out the secrets and lies that is the watchtower society and governing body.

  even though he was informing me for almost a year, he never gave up on me.

  i am being called an apostate by some at the kingdumhell ,what should i do

  when i bump into the people who are calling me that name i would like to say something about what apostate actually means but im not very articulate (you may have noticed) one lady has said she will be polite to me but nothing else , im not even an ex dub just an ex study so do i actually qualify for that title in the "land of makebelieve"?

  i know that jws think they invented the word apostate !

  the more sarcastic ,the better ?

  A curious question but it is possible to miss loved ones and at the same time be relieved that they are no longer in our lives. It depends on the relationship we had with that person, but in my own case I could never be glad of being shunned.

  THE reason my mother stays a JW

  got a call from my mom this morning and she asked me if i had made plans to go to the memorial.....anyways she knows i dont want to be a jw and kind of understands to a point.

  they recently had the c.o and some friends over for dinner (as usual) and she said "i made pasta and everyone loved it"... yes thats the reason she loves the jws cause everyone loves her cooking!

  she has always recieved praise from anyone coming over for dinner about her cooking and says "if we weren't in the truth you know how bored we would be?

  Thing is it wouldn't matter if they weren't such a destructive religion but I guess it doesn't matter to some if it isn't the "Truth". I am sorry you are being shunned, it is a cruel thing to go through.
