  I feel like I'm being pushed away

  ok, so here's my story as it stands right now.

  my husband and i have been married for 6 1/2 years.

  about 2 weeks after we were married, he was appointed as a ministerial servant.

  I haven't been around for a while, but I caught this-it sounded like something I would have posted-

  my husband and I were constantly being hounded for our service hours- we had a high needs elderly mother (his mom) to take care of, both worked full time, husband was an MS and in charge of territory and accounts and we were just constantly overwhelmed. Whenever we had "meetings" to discuss our hours, we'd try to tell them how we were feeling and it was brushed off.

  long story short, we were so glad to finally fade away- my parents are still very active, and our fade is a little over a year old, so we're still treading lightly-

  anyways- welcome! you're not alone!

  What is the best question to ask a witness

  lets have a free for all .

  i would say why dont you have a book study anymore but that one is done to death... we had a witness recently and i asked for the latest jw only mag (he didn't realise i used to be in his cong... have i done that good a job at fading?

  ) it was a laugh to see the two of them struggle to come up with an answer.... ok lets here the best you can come up with, there has to be some better than mine, what question will leave them stuck for an answer...... .

  my question would be:

  which is more stressful? driving to a bookstudy once a week or sacrificing your child because you can't allow them to have a blood transfusion?

  I would rather go to a book study every week and be allowed to do whatever it took to save our child and our own life.

  Remember the BIG announcement in Spring 2005?

  it was made after the wt study - .

  the introduction to the new organized book, no longer called the om book, now the od book?

  perhaps i haven't dug deep enough but why is everyone so sure that this big announcement on sunday is something more than just a revised book?

  Part 2: OMG - I did it - I told my Mom and Dad how I feel...

  5 days after the big showdown with my mom, she called me today.

  well she is a bigger person than me - i certainly did not have the guts to do it.

  we made a bit of small talk and then she brought up saturdays discussion.

  I don't think you're being wimpy at all!

  I'm in the same boat and basically have a "don't ask-don't tell" policy with my mom right now.

  In the beginning, I was hoping our discussions would be respectful and that my mom would be logical about my feelings, but she just isn't. So I give up for now-

  I know at some point when my baby daughter is older and we start doing holidays/birthdays, we'll have to truly make our stand (what an ironic statement! LOL ), but for now- it's just not drama we can handle right now

  I really hope that at some point I can truly look back and find this behavior of theirs amusing and sad for them

  Some Things About JWs Just Aren't Right!..... Huh???

  just because someone's a witness, it doesn't mean they're horrible people.

  but the religion is very strange.

  when you think about it, a witness can't go to a work christmas party by themselves but if an unbelieving mate wanted his jw wife to accompany him, this is her personal business.

  A pioneer once told me that she didn't have to do personaly study or bible reading since she was doing an important life saving work-

  I READ the bible and compared it to the WT which unveiled a lot of discrepencies-

  She believes she is better off than me- I am a sinner who will die at armageddon and she's a "sheep" destined for paradise
