i have a question for everyone regarding your personal experience with the brainwashing techniques of the wt.
(its amazing that i can even say that now.
once was a time i would have bristled at the mere suggestion that the society brainwashes people.
I think the worse for me was just the fact that you were watched 24/7. If not by human eyes then the eyes of God. Whether it was feeling guilty, or trying to measure up. We were literally like robots, no say, no thoughts, no actions nor pleasures..... based on what WE wanted. How controlling was that? I could go on, but 'nuf said.

why are we still in the dark about the future?
Wow.....good point. I learned that in college, that people back then called on the clergy because they themselves were uneducated, couldn't read and depended on them for the correct answers. For all we know, the Bible may have contained all the answers we seek, but got lost in translation and otherwise.
BTW. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and opinions. I'm appreciating it all. Gives me more to think about and compels me to continue to search, seek and learn.

i hope that some of you lurkers out here really take a look at some of the thread in this section of the board.
this awake magazine says not one thing about how families are asked to trust their elders and how these very elders were and are abusing their children.
it mentions nothing about watching out for these trusted men in the congregations.............oh it brings out the internet, other family members and fathers and males in particular.. it will tell you how much your child needs to do to prevent something like this from happening.
Now I'm glad my children were shunned. They were just kids at the time, between 8-16yrs. of age, never baptized. Being shunned only kept them away from the psycho's. Thank GOD!

I haven't given up faith in God at all. I know He's out/up there somewhere doing who know's what. All things came into existance somehow. I just wish He would convey to us somehow what our future holds and why we suffer as we do. This earth is HELL, maybe not so much for me, but for so many others.

Born Again? Yes and/or no. I'm just still confused. Too many wishy washy things going on in this world. I do believe in Jesus and I do believe that He and others were sent to the earth by God, but there are still so many unanswered questions and after hearing JW lies for so many years, it's hard to know what to believe anymore.
