I proposed to my wife. She excepted. It's every "proposition" since then that gets rejected! LOL Just kidding.

Field circus a one way street job
by White Dove inwhen going in fs, i always felt like it was a one way street or conversation because i was there to argue and defend the contents of the wt and a!
but none of us were allowed to consider as a possibility the other person's arguments.
our job was to turn their minds around but the people on the other side made more sense than i did.

I always was willing to listen to other people's opinions. As far as anybody knew, I was kicking ass in the field service spreading the word! Ha Ha. One time, I had a 3 hour discussion with an Indian man who happened to be a professor of philosophy. It was an awesome discussion. But, had anybody known that I actually listened to what he had to say, I probably would have gotten in trouble. The heading at the top of the Watchtower should be "Close-minded Simpletons Pushing Magazines and Lunacy for Over 100 Years".

May 15 Kool-Aid Study Titles
by WTWizard inhow should we treat others?mp3 keep on doing goodmp3 deliverance by god's kingdom is at hand!mp3 while you are young, choose to serve jehovahmp3 make spiritual progress by following paul's examplemp3 pursue "holiness in gods fear" .
as i am not interested in downloading audio files that will permanently be on my computer, i would like to see a pdf file scan of the whole magazine in its entirity.
notice that the study articles are available as mp3 files, which does little good if one wants to look at it at their own pace and tear the material apart.. notice the theme: doing good.

How about "Serve the Watchtower until you Puke!" That's a good article title.

Life was hell for me growing up JW! In addition to the grueling meeting schedule, my dad was an elder and my mom worked nights. After school, my brother and I had to go to my dad's shop where we worked until closing time. After making the trip home, eating dinner and doing chores, the schedule was as follows: Monday night was study night for Tuesday night's meeting. Go to bed. Tuesday: School, Work, Chores, Meeting, Bed. Wednesday: School, work, chores, study for the Thursday night meeting, bed. Thursday: School, Work, Chores, Meeting, Bed. Friday: The ONLY DAMN DAY we didn't study anything. But still had school and work. Saturday: Get up, field service, work, study for Sunday meeting, bed. Sunday: wake up, go to meeting, go home. When did I do homework, you ask? Usually on the school bus in the morning before getting to school. I will never, ever, ever make my kids go through that crap. Screw the Witnesses. They should all have their kids taken from them for child abuse.

My experience is that if someone requires control, it's probably because they're crazy and they're not worth the trouble. I prefer a woman who can act like a grown adult and function as a human being without my interference or intervention.
Smarter is always better, because after the sex is over, it's helpful to have somebody to talk to! Seriously, think about it. Sex with a dumb person might be great, but you wouldn't want to discuss politics with them. You'd probably suffocate yourself with a trash bag out of frustration.
Asian babes. Hmmm.... interesting. Maybe whoever is sending those ads to JWD thinks that ex JW males need mail order brides. I don't know.

I have the complete set of albums that my congregation up north used for about 100 years. I saved them in the original box. I forgot that I had them until I saw this post. I think I'll sell mine on Ebay, too.

FlyingHighNow, I too am in Georgia. What about the wonderful Saturday mornings where it is close to 100 degrees and having to march around out in field service until the point of heat exhaustion! The hot, summer days were the only time I actually wished someone would listen to my Watchtower presentation so I could feel the air conditioning escaping from their house! Oh, and let's not forget.....
I spent most of my childhood in the northeast. You just haven't lived until you've experienced those wonderful outdoor assemblies in the summer. As a red-headed fair-skinned guy, those 8+ hours of sun exposure nearly killed me. For an added treat, to add to the incredible heat, it would sometimes rain. Oh, Yankee Stadium! What a hell hole! Veteran's Stadium wasn't any better.

Question for you born ins
by startingover inwhen i was growing up as a born in jw, i remember the fear that dfing stirred up within me.
as a kid, seeing a df'd person was quite a scary thing.
thinking back about how it was growing up, it occurred to me that at the time, i never realized that a person had to be baptized in order to be df'd.

I was more afraid of my dad than anything else. The elders could have kissed my pasty, white ass. It was what my dad thought and what he might have done to me that struck fear into my little JW mind. As a result, I played the good little JW game until I was able to move out on my own. Soon as I left home, I left the Kingdumb Hell forever. I disfellowshipped them. I shun them. I wonder if that bothers them?

When you were an active JW, what did you pray for?
by JH inno matter if god granted what you asked or not, what did you pray for ?

As a child, I prayed that we didn't have to be JWs anymore, because it sucked so much. Oh well. I guess God didn't hear that prayer, either. I had to wait until I left home and moved to another town before I answered that prayer myself.
