"She simply deleted MissingLink as a friend on facebook cuz he wrote some scathing reviews of the Society's publications"
I was deleted by four JW's "friends" from Facebook too. Simply because they heard a rumor of me having doubts. But they haven't spoken to me or question me anything. In the recent convention I was invisible for one of them.
I am an active JW in good standing. Go figure.

From the 70's I love The Mary Tyler Moore Show and All in the family (I've seen them recently). But when I was a young girl I watch every week Wonder Woman and the Bionic Woman.

How many of us remember the Jonestown massacre?
by james_woods inby that i meant - how many remember being an active jw when this happened?.
what was the general reaction from the rank & file, the elders, even the co/do?
does anybody remember there being magazine articles on this?.

I was 10 years old when it happened and I remember it vividly. The scene: hundreds of people lying dead. From the air they looked like confetti. I don't remember the reactions in my congregation, but at home was pure shock.

I joined Weight Watchers today!
by Princess Daisy Boo ini am a bit of a yo yo dieter - i have been dieting ever since i was a teenager, and my role model for this was my mom of course.
in fact one of my very early memories of going shopping with mom and her buying a diet shake mix.
well... i have a little girl who is almost three and i have been thinking about things and i really need to break this cycle of crash diets, losing 5 kgs and picking up 10 once i have lost motivation.
