If your God were in charge...
by nvrgnbk inwhat would the world be like?.
for example, today orthodox jews and christians don't kill witches and homosexuals because they can't legally.. but if things were as their god decreed in the bible, they'd be dead.. islam, when it has enough power to enforce it's laws, summarily kills and dismembers those that offend allah.. so if you're unhappy with all the gays and druggies and atheists and witches and hippies, are you secretly longing for the day when your deity of choice exterminates them?.

I would really like it if there were no more child molesters, murderers, bombers, corrupt leaders who cause more harm than good. I guess in general really wicked people.

Cat is in trouble- advice?
by Insomniac inmy mom's cat got into some of her embroidery floss and swallowed it.. this was maybe three days ago.
her vet won't see him, too busy.
he's not eating much at all now, and i fear the worst.

Did You Feel That Jehovah Blessed or Punished You?
by minimus inwere you one of those witnesses that believed anything good that happened was because jehovah god was blessing you and when something bad happened, it was evidence of "no blessings"??

When I survived in 2001 after not taking blood I thought God saved me to teach the docs and hospital, as no other Witness had faced it. I think I had a great surgeon and persistant family for finding another doc to get me the EPO shot.
But I do feel me are being blessed somehow for leaving the JW's. When my husband left his career shot thru the roof. We went from a trailer home to building a new one. I don't have to work anymore. But that also has to do with the fact that he works his a** off on meeting nights. I'm not saying anything about anyone else, just OUR circumstances.
Our family is much more united and we are happier since me and the kids left, so something good there too.
But I think we make our own blessings.

Anybody watch Ghost Hunters last night?
by momzcrazy inon ghost hunters revelations (yes, my wednesday guilty pleasure) grant said he was religious.
but when people have haunting problems and tell the "congregation" most of the time they are "shunned" by other members.
he was happy to be able to provide help to those whose religion turned them away.. i thought it was interesting, maybe he was a witness.. momz.

I'm the same as you. I'm Christian also, but am interested in the unexplainable. I've had strange things happen my whole life. I've always said we use such a small part of our brain, who knows what is possible. I also like Most Haunted on the Travel channel. But mostly because of the cool stories and old places they go to. They never seem to be able to catch the things TAPS does. Like the lighthouse and the armory and when they went to Ireland. I really enjoy Celtic folklore and fairies, but I never let on. The owner of Leip Castle was a hoot. So matter of fact about his spirits.
My neighbor was raised on the family farm in a Antebellum Mansion. She says it's haunted but it's all family, so it's OK! I really want to got here.

(Attn Girls) What color should I color my hair?

my hair has been the same for two years now and i just want something different.
i would do it pink or whatever but i have an appointment with my hair cutter person (1 mile from my house) -- not my crazy color person (who is two hours away) .... this one has colored my hair twice and does a great job but she is just not one to do crazy off the wall things.

I like your hairstyle! I had highlites like yours and I just went back to a richer brown than my natural. Then I got Pantene Conditioner for darker browns and it added cool highlites. Cheapest dye job I ever got!
I say go platnium blond and then get dark brown underneath. Everyone's doing that here in TN how 'bout Miss?
