  oh, i'm a pioneer and jehovah gave me $10 for gas

  i'm drawing a huge blank..

  there was a thread here a while back on the bogus experiences at the assemblies about how jehovah stepped in just when a pioneer has $0, and oh, boy, were we blessed.......yet whenver bad things happen, even when praying for help, like someone gets killed, the 'we put in 75 hours of service and jehovah fed us' theory turns idiotic..

  anyone remember that thread...or wanna give me some word power over those pathetic experiences....just got one via email from a relative and really want to throw back a doozy to make him think..

  I agree with you 100%. When I stopped pioneering and worked, things got better.THEN when hubby left the borg things got 1000% better. He worked long hours and sacrificed but it is paying off. And I haven't had to work in years.

  While I was a newlywed pioneer, poor obviously, I had one check to pay for gas. I filled it up but by some miracle it only took $4.00 to fill it. The handle kept clicking off. Jehovah helped me!!!!

  I had a car group on a busy street in SLC, Utah. And the CAR RAN OUT OF GAS!!!!!!! A kind worldly stranger bailed me out.

  i was thinking it might be a good idea to come up with a website like happyexjws.com where we record a short video of ourselves saying we are now happy and briefly explaining why.

  kind of like the atheist group who's members blaspheme against the holy spirit.

  in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .

  At our old house, way in the backwoods, I was forever hitting rabbitts and possums. Possums really stink when you hit them too. No animals have been killed in the new neighborhood yet.

  What have/will you buy others for Christmas?

  i still find it interesting at what people give for christmas.

  i'm also still trying to figure out what "normal" is for presents.

  so tell me -- what have you bought for friends and family?

  This is my first year, so expense was a consideration.

  I got my sister and her girlfriend cool ornaments for their first tree.

  My hubby's secretaries got candles and poinsettia votives from Yankee.

  And our two neighbor friends got ceramic candle holders and candles.

  Our babysitters got Bath and Body Works stuff.

  Purplesofa is drawing pictures for the kids on my list.

  I got hubby a titanium wedding ring. And maybe some RayBans.

  My girls got jewelry boxes and cd's and dvd's.

  And lots of toys for the 3 two yr olds.

  That's it so far.

  ... for a week and a half trip.. i am such a jerk that i gave her a really hard time about it.. it's hard for me to take care of the kids alone and do everything she does.. oh well!.
