I'm new!

hi, i'm poppyr's son.

i was brought up a jehovah's witness and have only very recently lots most of my faith in it.

for years i was in that religion and could never quite make sense of it.

In answer to your question, everyone here has done something different it seems. Some are athiest, agnostics, Christian, Buddist, or wiccan. The best part of all of this is that you get to decide for yourself. Think about what you want and what you believe. You may go a couple different routes till you find your path.

For my family, we are Christians. We pray and read the Bible. My girls are showing an interest in Catholism and have gone to classes at the church with friends. We have only been out for a couple of months, so we are all still finding our way.

If you find something that interests you, look into it. Pray only if you want to or if you feel they are being heard.

There is so much pain...

i don't know why things in life happened...i don't know why i was born in the most destructive cults ever existed.

my childhood was so miserable...is not nice to see the other kids at your age celebrating xmas and birthdays and other holidays.

my whole world was somewhere between kindom hall and field service with my pioneers parents.. i hardly finished high school because i was supposed to live in the generation that by no means will pass way.

Have you spoken to a doctor about some antidepressants? You can go to any doctor and get them. It sounds to me like you are severly depressed and even temporary medication may help. I've been on meds since my last son was born. My doctor got mad at me for waiting so long to ask for them. My whole outlook changed. While you are going through bad times, meds may help you find positives in your life.

Some are against meds but if it will help you feel better, why not try them?

Hey! Welcome to JWD. Don't worry about picking on JW's here. If you look at past posts you may be shocked. Raised in SLC here. My hubby's gfather was in the Quorum of the Twelve or something. I am even related to Brigham Young, but who isn't naughty man.

Here's a link for some things. The witnesses just call them meetings, but they each have different names. Public Talk and Watchtower discussion on Sunday. Bookstudy during the week. Theocratic Ministry School on Thursdays usually.
