what happens when one informs elders that one's baptism was invalid?
by quincemyles inis it possible to move from baptized publisher to unbaptized status perpetually?
what do elders do when you inform them that your baptism was invalid?

I would tell them that its a personal matter and they wouldnt know a thing about its validity. -

The Org is terrified of apostates
by SecretSlaveClass ini knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.
all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).
they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.

I too will give them a letter this week to dissociate, while circumventing their shunning cruelty.
I will simply write:
Dear Sirs,
In line with my bible trained conscience, I will be re-baptized. The moment I will be immersed in water, my first baptism will be voided. When I come out of the water, the second baptism will become my true baptism recognized by all humans, Our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy spirit. I will not provide you the particulars as to the exact reasons for my re-baptism. I however desire that you legally be aware of this formal communication.
Yours sincerely,
Signed.
[ Name]
I will be baptized into Lord Jesus Christ by a non-witness and my baptism will not be tied to any denomination. I will not inform them of who will baptize me and where. Jehovah's witnesses publicly baptized me into their organization (so called spirit directed organization) rather than just being baptized in the name of the Holy spirit as Matthew 28 requires. That is one of the key justifications before God that I have for re-baptism. I desire to be baptized in recognition of Holy spirit not a human organization.

Jackson on Deuteronomy 22 and "two witnesses"
by Marvin Shilmer inin his testimony before the royal commission geoffrey jackson said he did not have the answer to the question posed to him regarding deuteronomy 22:25-27 and was unable to ask jesus at this time.
two things stand out to me about this piece of jackson's testimony.
1. he said he could not ask jesus.

"The text does not say a man would be put to death based on the witness of a single person (the victim)."
It does in principle state that even when there is one witness, a man can be put to death. The basis for putting the man to death is not mentioned. This is what Mr. Angus wanted Mr. Jackson to explore as it seems to deviate from the position that an allegation can only be acted upon when there are two witnesses. In that situation, the man can confess. Then there would be the two witnesses required for executing him. Mr. Jackson would have said that to get out of the noose.

JW to SDA anyone do it ?
by Introvert 2 ina couple friends pointed me to some info on the sabbath and i just plain like it, being the workaholic i am it's a lifesaver for me and gives me the motivation to be more balanced about my business and work schedule.
so from there i looked into the adventists and found a hall near my place and went last week.
i honestly enjoyed myself and the meeting time is not disruptive and the people were great and pretty laid back.

Thanks Village Idiot.
I was under the impression that disfellowshipping among the SDAs involves simply deletion from the church records. The congregation members are not required to actually shun the disfellowshipped. http://leavingsda.com/adventist-exclusiveness-1/
“When a person has been removed from church membership, the church should, where possible, maintain contact and manifest the spirit of friendship and love, endeavouring to win him/her back to the fold.” – Offical SDA Church Manual (p199, 17th edition)

What to expect.
1) Trinity.
John 5:23 requires us all to honor Lord Jesus Christ just as we honor Our Heavenly Father. If you honor Jesus Christ in anyway, it will be to the glory of God our Father. The Holy spirit must be honored by all Christians regardless of the nature of the Spirit. If one understands that, one would not have major difficulties with accommodating those who believe in the Trinity like the SDAs.
2) I would immediately face problems with SDA's view of 1844 just i have many problems with the JW's view of 1914. Both 1844 and 1914 are based on flawed mathematics and are given a false significance.
3) Like JWs last days tied to 1914, the SDAs tie the last days to 1844. The flawed date-pivoted preaching of a last days would greatly make it a challenge for me to be in either denominations. Both denominations have a flawed understanding of Matthew 24 and the book of revelation.
4) I want to believe that the beauty of SDA is in that there is no shunning, the laity can openly challenge pastors and elders on administrative and doctrinal matters. They are more tolerant to dissent than JWs in that they would not easily excommunicate you for openly questioning some beliefs. The rank and file are actively involved in doctrine development. SDAs are more transparent, encourage open mindedness and higher education.
As for the Sabbath, I believe it is as a personal matter as celebrating the birth of Christ,

I had requested them to put shepherding concerns in writing.
by quincemyles inlast week, i had requested the elders to put their shepherding concerns in writing and that only one elder visits me because i am uncomfortable with two.
well, today they approached me and said we are not able to write to you and we are going to see you the two of us.
i felt how inconsiderate and disrespectful of individuals the watchtower machinery is.

Do not go any further down this road, or you will certainly be "executed" by your "loving elders!"You have challenged things which no J.W. is allowed to do - so stop it right now, unless you don't care what happens to you. You will not teach your elders anything - except that you are "an apostate!"
I can use some advice at the moment. Thank you all.
They gave me a 1986 watchtower explaining why people are disfellowshipped for apostasy, so yeah, you are right The Searcher. The article emphasized that to have approved association i need to believe in 1914, Faithful slave, 144000 and that Armageddon is near. They definitely consider this as a first admonition since they require two admonitions before constituting a judicial committee. In their minds I am clearly headed for disfellowshipping. I want to continue attending meetings, continue to be silent, stop going in the field ministry and will partake at every memorial. My actions will constantly be a reminder of the issues I have raised. Or should I just stop attending meetings all together? time to think.
