  Once, I wrote in an internet thread that I attended several cult exiting workshops. My father read it and wrote me an e-mail stating that he would make sure that I will not inherit a single Euro. I am the single child of my parents.

  did anyone read about cults when a jw and think oh that sounds familiar?

  i have recently read escape by a caroline jessop , about a flds lady that got away and when i was reading things she used to believe , that sounded like jw kind of stuff i wondered if a jw read it they may question what they believe , and could read it guilt free because i presume it would not be classed as apostate as it is critical of another relgion also another book about 3 sisters that left the children of god cult had similarities with jws , maybe your relatives that wont even look at apostate stuff would read these type of books .

  The New Apostolic Church is quite big in Germany. There was a time when they taught that the end of the world would come within the lifetime of their chief apostle. Of course, he died and nothing happened. Some JW made fun of it and I said that it is quite similar to our "Generation of 1914"-tenet. I was already in critical mood back then.

  i have noticed at http://www.jw.org that the study watchtower of may 15, 2008 contains an article on the organization of the governing body.

  nothing new that ray franz did not already mention twenty years ago.

  of course, they do not explain the two third majority rule.

  Were the Cananites evil or were they simply destroyed for their land?

  from the jw's/bible standpoint, was there good reason for 'god' to wipe out the cananite nation or was it just to give the jews the promised land?

  German Government Trying to Ban Agnostic Children's book

  in october 2007, author michael-schmidt salomon and illustrator helge nyncke published the first german agnostic children's book "can you tell me the way to god?

  asks the piglet".. a piglet and a hedgehog live together in a house, enjoying life, one night, someone puts a poster to their house which states "those who do not know god are missing something".

  the piglet and the hedgehog decide to find out what that means, .
