  WTS Valley Farms??? Is it true???

  hello,.

  someone told me that the wts own something called valley farms but could not show me anything to proove it.. could anyone confirm the valley farms existence and if it does exsist what the wts use it for.. thanks.

  Hello,

  Concerning the tons of WT litterature i've read in all these years this is the conclusion i come to:

  "Prolonged reviewing of the Watchtower Society’s publications involves constantly inventing reactions towards them about which one has no spontaneous feelings whatever"

  They have changed their doctrines so often i've lost count!!

  Neanderthals and the Bible?

  i am doing some research on neanderthals.

  we know that this species existed and by very recent dna test we can tell that they are definitely not human.has any one done anything on this subject or the accuracy of carbon dating?

  hello to all.. i have been a lurker here for about 2 weeks and been so impressed at the friendship shown and the honest debate i thought i would join in.. my name is rick and my jw story is at http://www.jwfiles.com/jws-leaving/rick.htm if your interested.

  it also saves a lot of unecessary typing here.. i use the user name of mr angry so as not to be confused with the rick that was on h20.

  to confuse the matter further rick is not my real name as i have family still in the truth (how i hate that term) and i dont wish my real identity to be revealed at this stage.

  Hi mac!,

  The same thing happened to my congregation too!! The presiding overseer told us that if we did not increase our "contributions" it would would no longer be possible to order "luxury items" like pocket bibles and video tapes!!
  Talk about giving out litterature for free!! Another WT lie exposed!

  If I remember well i think the following was posted on the "old" H20 quite some time ago by a certain "WorldlyWitness"
  I personally found it was a great post, I hope you will enjoy it too!

  WHO ARE THE BORGS ?

  The Borg: This encompasses all of those individuals belonging to the 'God-directed' organization.

  The Great Lie: WE have the only 'God directed' religious organization on earth.

  The Work: Selling publications by any means, acquiring more BORG by any means.

  The Reality: There is NO God-directed religious organization on earth.

  The Great Truth: God has always worked through individuals, they are the wheat amongst the chaff.

  Suspension of belief: A stage where those who are "of the BORG" temporarily quit believing the lie. They find that they have doubts and are at a crossroads. One way takes them to the publications and/or elders with their doubts. This leads them to
  again view the Great Lie as 'Truth'. Another way takes them into investigation of the lie, and often leads to the discovery of it.

  Discovery of Reality: The moment when one of the BORG finds out about the Big Lie. This is also a crossroads. Some take the step of disassociation (leave voluntarily) or get disfellowshipped (violate laws and are dismissed) and leave the BORG. Some 'fade away' due to family consideration or other personal matters.
  There are more than a few who CHOOSE to stay and take advantage of their knowledge. We shall call them Controllers.

  Controllers: These ones have some knowledge of the extent of the Great Lie and use this knowledge to further their own plans. They are beyond the scope of being cynical in that they believe in nothing. Therefore, conscience plays no part in their machinations. They play the rest of the BORG for fools and this evidence is resent in their writings and actions. The main goal is to keep the Great Lie going at all costs, since disruption of the Great Lie would cause them to lose their superiority and power over others.

  Society Men & Women: These are the unwitting dupes of the Controllers.
  They ignore all evidence of the Great Lie, and if impossible to ignore,they immediately block out all of this evidence. They police their own thoughts and are in a position to police the thoughts of others. Their targets are those of the Borg who are beginning to awaken to knowledge of the Great Lie. This is of prime importance since the awakenings often result in a 'domino effect' which could lead to knowledge the Society Men do not want to have.

  Collective BORG: Those ones who are the foundation of the Organization.
  They provide sole support of The Work, financially, and by doing The Work. These are the victims of the Great Lie, but also the lifeblood of it, for this is where Society Men & Women originate.

  Double-Think: A mind trick the BORG learns to master, if they are to continue in the
  Organization. An example of this would be: those who speak the Great Lie are God directed when they appear to be right, they are 'imperfect men' when they are proven wrong. Their writings are said to be 'Bible Study Aids', but actually replace the Bible as authority in spiritual matters. Evidence: The BORG does not study the Bible without Bible Study Aids. NO Bible Studies are conducted without the BSA as the guideline.

  Reformers: Those of the BORG who know of the Great Lie and choose to undermine the work of the Controllers when presented with opportunities. These are Apostates in making and are much despised by the Controllers.

  Apostates: Those who have discovered the Great Lie and choose to oppose 'The Work' at every opportunity. They may be disfellowshipped,disassociated or inactive BORG. They are feared and despised by all ranks of the BORG.

  Laws of the Borg: Rules and regulations of the organization put in place for the purpose of controlling the Collective, or, for no apparent purpose except to cause their persecution or suffering. These laws are antisocial in nature, making the Collective, stand out as 'different', from those who are not of the BORG.

  So Drue i think you can now draw your own conclusions as to who are the BORG.....

  the signs and wonders that jehovah gave us, added to the bible writings completes the bible's outline directed to us.

  by using the animals representing certain people it just makes it easier to understand jehovah's direction.. besides this, the number 144,000 stands alone with its exact numbeerrneeded in heaven.

  Hello Bruce,

  On the other thread i asked you to proove me using only the Bible, that 144000 is a literal number. As i imagined you could not quote a single scripture.
  Also I don't see what are "The signs and wonders that Jehovah gave us" that added to the Bible writings indicate to me that the rebellious angels (how do you know they are 144000??) are to be replaces by men? All these speculations seem watchtowerish (no offence intended :-) )

  I beleive that the 144,000 number at Re 7:4-8 cannot be a literal number because the twelve tribes mentioned each contain 12,000 people from the tribes of Israel are not the tribes of fleshly Israel (Jews by birth), but rather figurative tribes of spiritual Israel, since "not all who spring from Israel are really 'Israel'" (Ro 9:6). If that is the case, how can 12 figurative tribes x 12,000 spiritual members totals up to 144,000 literal people?

  Also most of Revelation (especialy the context in which the 144000 are mentioned) is written using simbolic language.
  To me the evidence indicates that the N° is simbolic.

  Just curious, have you found any "disciples" who believe in your theory?
