AK - Jeff
Oh Great. You STILL haven't answered my question!
Why was the Tetragrammaton not use when they quoted the Old Testament?

Jehovah's Witness here.
by nimzo ini have a question about my religion.
when people turn apostate, why do they seem kinda... weird.
they turn back to false teachings and their bible knowledge even proves that.

I'm asking questions but you guys keep ignoring them. TYPICAL APOSTATE TACTIC! I'll ask again! Why was the Tetragrammaton not used when the New Testament quoted the Old Testament?

Don't bother with his comments because I already know what they say.. He didn't influence and certain verse translation.
I'm sure you know about the Coptic Translation, which translated John 1:1 to "a god" in 200-300 AD. Harwood, 1768, "and was himself a divine person Newcome, 1808, "and the word was a god Thompson, 1829, "the Logos was a god Goodspeed 1939 "the Word was divine
You're basically says it cannot be translated this way, and that is false. Translating to "Word was God" actually destroys the Greek Grammar. -

fifi40 I know what apostate means, and I'm using it in the correct term. Yes, all apostates don't believe in the trinity, but they do turn back to false teachings. AuldSoul I'm saying Jesus didn't lead us to himself, meaning to glorify him.. He lead us to the Father.

AK - Jeff All pure assertions? You're saying all the bible researchers comments are all pure assertions? A lot of non-bias bible researchers will tell you that they aren't assertions. Its not a assertions, sorry.. Its a fact. Clearly, you just deny what information they found, and you reject the obviously. Typical apostate.

AK - Jeff Johannes Greber didn't influence the John 1:1 translation. Also, many translations and translators translate John 1:1 to a god or a divine being. Yes, well over 30 Bibles/Translations. eclipse Understand what I said - I said show me a verse!
