Unfortunately some of the persons I know on disability are survivors of the WT Institutional Child Abuse failures. Denied support and counseling they have been psychologically damaged to the point they are unable to function normally in society (or anywhere really). But!!!!! as the cult likes to say "nothing the new system wont fix!" so what if Satans system picks up the bill for now it all belongs to Jah anyway!!! Sick cult reasoning.... -

The conventions and the memorial are a pain in the butt for me.
by John Aquila ini can imagine those of you who have a spouse that is not awake and how hard it must be.
i have a 90 year old mom who is a jw and still puts in 12 hrs a month in field service.
the brothers and sisters are always picking her up for conventions, meetings and memorials and as much as i try to avoid them, there are times when i just cant.

What makes me cross is the fact that witnesses will take, take, take blood fractions..........from worldly people but wont give blood. surely if they are Jehovahs chosen/clean people they should be prime candidates for giving blood (a loving act) in Australia blood donors are not paid.....And as a nurse (and ex JW) it takes alot of blood to make fractions!!!! Its a religion/cult of entitlement no love required......... -

Jehovah’s Witnesses face child sexual-abuse investigation in Australia - Washington Post article
by defender of truth inof the religious and nonreligious groups being investigated, the jehovahs witnesses are exceptional, experts say.. in a converted office in downtown sydney, the organizations doctrines and practices are being parsed by lawyers, victims and journalists, providing rare insight into one of the christian worlds most conservative churches.. .
the church, which was founded in pennsylvania during the 1870s to promote a 1st-century interpretation of the bible, has emerged as the least able or willing to deal with sexual abuse within its ranks, said anne cossins, an associate law professor at the university of new south wales and an expert in sex crimes who is a consultant for the inquiry.. .
i find their approach to the issue and victims extraordinarily bizarre almost medieval, she said in an interview.. .

Cha Ching!
Even tho they talk to people out in service, they could NOT even THINK about discussing it with me... It literally scared them out of their socks! It was as tho they had seen a ghost!
Same experience very disconcerting!

Welcome Lostwun! Be patient, Troubled Mind makes it plain that she was leaving an organisation not her husband...Including a quote illustrating similarities of high control cults
When your own thoughts are forbidden, when your questions are not allowed and our doubts are punished, when contacts with friendships outside of the organization are censored, we are being abused, for the ends never justify the means. When our heart aches knowing we have made friendships and secret attachments that will be forever forbidden if we leave, we are in danger. When we consider staying in a group because we cannot bear the loss, disappointment and sorrow our leaving will cause for ourselves and those we have come to love, we are in a cult… If there is any lesson to be learned it is that an ideal can never be brought about by fear, abuse, and the threat of retribution. When family and friends are used as a weapon in order to force us to stay in an organization, something has gone terribly wrong.”
― Deborah Layton, Seductive Poison: A Jonestown Survivor's Story of Life and Death in the People's TempleMy husband left before me (it took me quite along time to catch up and some counselling and he had to be very patient and discreet) and despite my fears he actually became a more balanced chilled kinder persons who I come to understand loved me unconditionally no religious tags attached. All that fear around "good and evil" black and white thinking and "us and them" paralyzes you. Despite the threats of "where else will you go?" terrible consequences if you leave. from large witness family.... my husband and I have still got strong moral base are not drug addicts or alcoholics.....there is a good life possible post cult hang in there... Steve Hassan a leading expert on cults information at JWVICTIMS. ORG also has a good example of The Bite Model 'Behavior,Information, Thoughts and Emotions helps understand how abusive Jw are and the difficulty leaving....

I watched Mr. Jackson last night with my super cult minded parents
by Magwitch ini have seen some ask on this site how the active jw's are handling what is happening in australia.
here is my little experience from last night........ my parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the great tribulation and live forever in paradise (even though they actively associate with all their df'ed kids).
my father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side.

Heaven, The part that infuriates me the most is all the family illustrations in the cult literature that portray that poisonous organisation as loving and inclusive..........Human rights .......Article 19 – Freedom of Expression “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. My mother was dis-fellowshipped a process which destroyed her and she dies a very broken unhappy women unable to parent. (a dog gone back to its vomit). My remaining parent has not made me an orphan but deprived himself of meaningful/fun/complex family relationships that are so essential for us as to be balanced happy social beings and support you need as you get older. Will not be looked after in old age by organisation many old faithful (fanatical) witnesses dumped in worldly aged care homes only visited if they can make time......... -

Do you have any recording devices? Question at JW Judicial Committee. Can we use this weapon against them?
by Brokeback Watchtower inwhat labels the watchtower judicial system as a completely kangaroo court is the secrecy in which they take place.
i was asked this question by 5 elders who sat as judges over me over the charges get this "speaking against the organization" this was truly the most kangarooie of the kangaroo courts ever.
when they first invited me to this meeting by 2 elder at my place of work i asked them what the charges were and was told speaking against the organization to which i said right the charges down on a piece of paper and sign it to which they refused.

They like to play it both ways "unlettered and ordinary men" and judges with the power of life or death within the secretive confines of the cult. The royal commission has revealed that the lack of understanding of judicial process and thus enact cruel, demeaning and dangerous policies and proceedures that cause terrible ongoing damage not only to the victium but often whole families. The royal commision shinning a spotlight has shown that origanisation as a corrupt power crazed publishing orgainisation built of a very dubiouss foundation...................Quoted before Judge Brandis "Best disinfectant is sunshine".......... -

The cult mentality seems to give them the impression of unaccountably and isolation form Satans big bad world. Flights from USA to Sydney typically take around 14 to 15 hours. Not enough time for even a glance at the transcripts???? So glad none of my cash is paying her fees anymore! -

I hold my elderly parent responsible for the fear that he instilled in us fear of worldy people, education, celebrations, thinking and reasoning as intelligent autonomous human beings and fear of reprisal when we disappointed the organisation.......My parent wholly owned body and soul by the organisation and is not able to love me unconditionally which really leaves me parent less, him childless (although he did tell me that if I wouldn't love jehovah and his organsation he could find plenty of spiritual daughters in the organisation) and now that he is a very old man will the organisation look after him when he is very frail the organisation??? Since they are happy to keep in the spirit of the two witness rule may be they will apply kings 1.1.1Now King David was old, advanced in age; and they covered him with clothes, but he could not keep warm. 2So his servants said to him, "Let them seek a young virgin for my lord the king, and let her attend the king and become his nurse; and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may keep warm." 3So they searched for a beautiful girl throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.… Another theocratic use of young women hot water bottle!
